1. cao ge singing Shi Jie Wei Yi De Ni during his encore performance. CHECK OUT 1:17 AND 2:05-2:15. that is WHY he is the best.

2. cao ge singing wu gu. another steady and strong vocal performance of a rather difficult song. notice he sings the whole song SITTING DOWN. that is very difficult considering how high he must go. imba. ahhaa.

3. cao ge - bei pan. he says he always kneels down singing this song because it's very personal to him. well he finally did get down onto his kneels at the ending part of the song and shed tears. really emo. nice.

4. the best is always for last. this video is not from his singapore concert. rather, it's from the malaysia one, cause i cant find the rest of the songs on youtube. probably still in the midst of uploading. but i stumbled upon this clip. it's the opening of his malaysia concert, exactly the same as the singapore one, when he sings Superwoman. only this is 10000x better. the crowd is better, more happening, louder, and the vocals....... let's just say this is the BEST version of Superwoman i have EVER heard him perform yet.

hello hello. i know this is quite late but see i'm still putting in effort into updating! yay. the thing about blogging is, you kinda feel lazy thinking of it; but once you start you wont stop till you've finished everything you wanted to say.

so here it goes. what a busy week it has been!

MEDICAMP.

Medagascar 2008 (not really very punny, but good try lol) was an extremely enjoyable experience.

the good thing about my og, Lutra, is that the people are very nice and friendly! all of them. haha. we all could click very well and i felt we bonded quite well as a whole in an amazingly short time. this NEVER happened for me and my army mates, be it BMT or OCS.

i guess it could be because in BMT/OCS the number of people in a platoon (about 40) is far greater than what we had in an OG (9girls, 9 guys). but i really think the main factor is girls. me and jerry had a theory about how having girls around would provide an emotional balance and would help to bond everyone together in general. hahahaha. and i still think our theory holds true.

anw, we had a FANTASTIC time. from running around singapore playing an Amazing Race on the first day (I LOVE AMAZING RACES) to playing Murderer for hours at night to the very last night where we had Drinking Goggles, some coolio twi-twi concentration game and 2 bottles of Smirnoff Vodka, we simply had endless hours of fun.

haha murderer is my fav game and i probably made it Lutra's fav game! =p hahaha it's really fun especially when alot of people is playing. there was once when the entire og was in a room, even the ogls and we were all playing. there were like 6 murderers and 2 detectives hahaha. damn fun. i sucked as a detective though; i kept killing innocent civillians! stupid mark lim doesnt help with his suspicious face. hahaha.

the last night was the best. lol. i DID NOT get drunk. i was very high though, cause i kinda made alot of stupid mistakes playing drinking goggles. haha. there was one incident between me and mark which was hilarious.

mark was sitting beside me. i smacked his inner thigh for fun. he was like "ouch". being high i found that really funny so i smacked his thigh again. he was like "eh dont play ah you hit one more time...." i found that even funnier so i really smacked his thigh again LOL. suddenly he got damn serious and said "eh fuck you la". then i was like OOPS he's being for real and went apologizing for the next 5 mins. hahaha.

anw im VERY sure i'll be having a wonderful next 5 years with my OG in medicine school! yayy.

CAO GE CONCERT+class outing.

just two days ago i had a long awaited class outing! but the class outing was quite lame because only the guys went. for the girls, there were only harumi and sarah. then we went to marina square which was quite a bad idea BECAUSE:

1) pool is $10.80 per hour (wtf)
2) bowling is $4.50 per game (LMAO)
3) cinema was sold out for shows

so we ended up just walking around, talking, and playing some arcade games.

i went for dinner with sharon after that. sharon is very nice! she was going home from town already but decided to come all the way back to city hall for dinner. hahah but we ended up going to the food court for dinner so it was quite funny. but thanks anyway so nice of her.

ANYWAYS, after that i went singapore indoor stadium for CAO GEEEEEEE'S CONCERT. AHHHHHHHHHHHH. do you know how much i love cao ge? you don't! AHHHHH.

i met genevieve wong there. haha quite a cool surprise. she was sitting in the row in front of me. i was like "eh gen i didnt know you liked cao ge". then she was like "haha i do.. but not enough to memorize all the lyrics of his songs the night before.. did you?" then i was like "I DONT THINK I HAVE TO DO THAT. IT'S ALREADY ALL INSIDE MY HEAD". HAHAHA omg i love CAO GEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE.

anyways. it was a great concert! just that the crowd wasnt as hyped up and exciting as the Pan Wei Bo or Jolin Tsai ones. damn it. seemed like everyone was just fixated on the pro vocals to do any random screaming/shouting. it was only during the later parts of the show when the crowd FINALLY started to heat up and the atmosphere got better.

oh wells. but it was really awesome. cao ge showcased his vocal prowess and why he is the reigning KING of chinese pop (he just recently won Best Male Artiste in the 2008 Golden Melody Awards). be sure to check youtube for videos!

NUS Softball update

as some of you know by now, i've been training with + playing for the NUS softball team for the past few weeks. we are currently playing in the Men's League, which is the softball equivalent of the S-League for soccer. the difference is that this isnt really a league, it's more like a championship because there are only 2 groups, and top two advance to semi finals then finals.

so our record now is currently 3-1. we won ORA, Red Sox and, just yesterday, Old Boyz to book a spot in the semi finals. we lost to Storm, which will take top spot in our group.

next sunday will be the final round of matches. there will be 4 matches in total:

#1, 0900hrs) runner up group 1 vs runner up group 2 (that means us)
-loser gets 4th position.

#2, 0900hrs) winner group 1 vs winner group 2

#3, 1100hrs) winner of match #1 (could be us, lol) vs loser of match #2
-loser gets 3rd position

#4, 1300hrs) winner match #3 (could also be us muahaha) vs winner of match #2
-loser and winner gets 2nd and 1st position respectively.

so you see we are potentially looking at playing 3 matches non-stop from 9am all the way till 3pm. if we win all, that is. so any form of support is greatly appreciated!

we are playing at the kallang softball diamond, which is just beside Leisure Park. come and support your beloved NUS as we valiantly try to win all our matches and capture the title! or just support me also can. LOL.

hello i am back for another post, as i strive to keep my blog going!

i watched The Strangers with sharon yesterday! it was a very interesting show. hm. time for the much-coveted, long awaited DesperadoZ movie review!

DesperadoZ MOVIE REVIEW

Movie: The Strangers
Genre: Horror
Runtime: 1hr 25mins
DesperadoZ's rating: 4.5/5 stars

Introduction: The Strangers is not an A-list horror movie. the lead actor is a rather handsome Scott Speedman (seen in the picture above looking like some jackass lol) and the lead actress is Liv Tyler. age is catching up with her but she still looks decent (she's 31 this year). yet this movie is one of the scariest i have seen yet. not as scary as Shutter (which is still number 1 on my list) or the Blair Witch Project, but still scary enough.

Sypnosis: dont worry about spoilers, i won't spoil the movie.

The movie starts off by telling everyone that the film was inspired by true events. THAT, i think, did the trick. it traps you right at the start and helps to build up the suspense and fear x100000 times. anw, after that the film begins with what happens at the end; the mormon (lmao) boys discovering the scene of carnage and dialling 911, etc. then it rewinds and the real fun starts.

basically Scott Speedman and Liv Tyler are couples. they went for a friend's wedding dinner, and during the dinner mr.brave Scott Speedman proposed to ms. dumb Liv Tyler. I mean WHO can be so dumb as to reject such a handsome man! bad mistake. bad bad mistake and she doesnt even know what she did could have directly cost them their lives.

they return to their secluded home not talking to each other, both obviously feeling the hurt and awkwardness. then they finally start talking, and oooh-la-la! they end up having steamy sex on the kitchen table............... but DING DONG. just as it's about to get hot in 'ere, the bell rings, and an eerie looking girl asks if someone(can't catch the name during the movie) is around. duh no, so its a sorry wrong house bye bye.

mr brave then decides to go drive around the neighbourhood to be alone for awhile and cool down, leaving ms dumb all alone in the secluded house. oh. no.

Why you should watch it: Because it IS scary. it is thrilling, suspenseful and grips you from the start. after some analysis, i figured out why:

1) telling you it was inspired by true events right at the start

2) a chilling start to the movie showing the aftermath of the massacre tells you something IS going to happen, you just dont know WHEN.

3) a very mundane, normal first 15 minutes of the movie (showing the rejection of the wedding proposal, just talking in the house) makes you even more nervous because you keep anticipating something coming up and you just dont know WHEN.

4) the masks of the 3 killers. is. seriously. very. freaky. i only got used to them nearing the end of the movie. even then, now i'd still feel a tad uncomfortable looking at images of them haha.

5) the whole movie IS very possible. everything that happened is realistic and can definitely happen to any one of us (if you overlook the part about staying in a really secluded area)

Bottomline: if you like horror movies, or like being gripped on the edge of your seat, or simply want the shit scared out of you, this is one movie that you cannot miss out on. take it from the horror movies guru. lol.

haha good ol' civillian! civillian. hehehehehe. yes so keefe has disrupted army to study Medicine at NUS. and is currently enjoying a month long break before starting on 6 years of pleasurable hell. okay somehow when i blog the word "army" makes me real uncomfortable so i wont say the A word anymore. not like i have to. for the next 6 years at least! hahahaha!

so anyway, i have been learning driving, mostly playing sports, going out with yr and zhenghong. i am so gonna spend one day in kinokuniya soon. just reading and reading and reading. medicine books and james patterson books. wonderful.

we watched Wanted yesterday. it was good actually. the first parts were kinda exciting and good stuff. at the end though, it was kinda lame. and at the end of the movie they are mean to you hahahahaha so it leaves a bitter taste in ur mouth? lol. i would rather spend my money on HANCOCK. whooohoooo will smith. i love him and his movies. he is damn cool ahhaha.

anyway. CHELSEA VS LIVERPOOL TONIGHT. champions league semi finals, 2nd leg. 2.30am. now it's 1.10am im probably gonna play psp until then. shit damn no life lol!

hellloooooooooo i'm finally back and ready to rumble.

okay, so As are over! whoohooo. now it's really just slackkk and playyy. think we should all enjoy this time while we can i dont think there will ever be such a period of freedom and fun ever again. hahaha. at least not in the near future.

i went to genting, it was okay. same old stuff i guess haha. except this time i finally went onto the Flying Coaster in the outdoor theme park. its one of the newer additions and i must say it is DAMN GOOD. even better than the Corkscrew. the Corkscrew is really no kick cause you are strapped so tightly in your seat. when u are taking the Flying Coaster, on the other hand, u are standing up and there is quite some space for movement. so when you go upside down and stuff you can really FEEL yourself going upside down and turning rounds to a much greater extent than the Corkscrew.

after genting i joined the ORA softball training on Saturday with kuang hao and farhan! need to train hahaha cause we're representing ORA in a Japanese Fastpitch Softball Tournament on the 16th of December. whoohooo.

on sunday it was quite fun. morning went to airport to see my mum and sis off, they were heading for Taiwan. then after that i went to Kinokuniya and stayed there from late morning to evening just reading boooks! i'm such a nerd. NICE.

i've always wanted to just spend a day in Kinokuniya; there are so many books available for reading. there were career guidance books too haha i read the one on doing Medicine. oh and there were loads of Medicine stuff maybe i should go back again and start studying for uni lol!

i also saw a very interesting book. it was called God Is Not Great, by Christopher Hitchens. it was some major bestseller and i thought i would take a look. it was quite funny, cause the atheist books and christian books were all in the same section. i was reading the book and beside me there was a middle aged guy who was reading some book about god. and you know what, he saw me reading the book and cast me a totally disdainful look filled with poison and disgust. LMAO. so i held up the book and made sure the cover page of the book with the words "God Is Not Great" were right in his face. LOL. he finally left while i was still reading the book, but not before turning around and looking at me while he was leaving. n00b. i read whatever the hell (lol) i want, bitch.

monday was a crazy day. i was home alone for the whole day. and spent most of my time on the computer lol. i have Doom 3 and Championship Manager 08! and omgwtf Doom 3 is a damn good game. played on my new comp with NVIDIA GeForce 8600GT the graphics are really imba. Championship Manager 08 is also damn good wahahahaha. very interactive and exciting.

at night i decided i had enough of the comp and went to Lot 1 for dinner + a trip to the library. i borrowed 4 books! hahaha. the Chelsea FC Official Biography, The Death List by Paul Johnston, Without Consent by Kathryn Fox and "The World's best selling book on Atheism" Atheist Universe by David Mills.

i feel that i'm getting more interested in this whole Science vs Religion thing. must be because i always hang out with people like zheng hong. i try to open my mind to arguments from both sides, but frankly, at the moment, my basic instinct, common sense, and pure reasoning tells me that i am still pretty much an agnostic.

i cant believe it. i really cant believe it.

if u are a Jose Mourinho fan like me (and u pronounce it Joe-Say not Ho-Zay like those freaking retards who think they are damn smart and insist that every "Jose" is pronounced the spanish way) then you would be shocked and very very upset that Mourinho has left Chelsea.

Mourinho exit could spark exodus

Chelsea could face a fight to keep hold of several of their best players after the departure of Jose Mourinho.
Reports are rife that many of the club's highest profile players now want to follow him out of Chelsea.

Defender Ricardo Carvalho said: "It is a very sad day for me and the team. I had a big offer from Real Madrid but I stayed at Chelsea because of Mourinho."

And summer signing Florent Malouda added: "I joined Chelsea because of my first meeting with Mourinho."

Several reports claim striker Didier Drogba is "furious and upset" at the parting of the ways between Chelsea and their charismatic Portuguese coach.

AC Milan are admirers of the Ivory Coast striker and would happily finance a move to take him to the San Siro.

Drogba, 29, was Chelsea's top scorer with 33 goals last season.

Reports claim Michael Essien, who was brought to the club by Mourinho in August 2005, could be considering his future.

But BBC Sport understands the Ghana midfielder will not be leaving Stamford Bridge.

anw im taking precious time off my huge busy studying schedule to update my blog cause some notable individuals have been clamouring for an update. most notably, i noted, was liu zheng hong.

this, of course, is extremely surprising considering that DesperadoZ has mentioned a number of times in the past that he was getting serious, as evident in my latest few posts. (including the one abt Keefe the Softballer) LOL.

anw i have a number of things to talk abt:

1) Prelims

of course, the most important thing in my life now. (and shld be yours too, if u're a jc2 student reading this) starts next week. not much time left. no more dota. just study whole day. gogogo. dean's list dean's list dean's list.

2) Chelsea

wtf. just barely a week ago i was asking my frens "What's the difference between Man U and a triangle?" ("a triangle has 3 points").

LOL! then they tyco scrape a 1-0 win over tottenham. so never mind. 5 points. i decided to ask the difference between Man U and a Benzene Ring. lmao. then they scrape another 1-0 win over Sunderland, courtesy of my personal favourite Louis Saha. fine enough.

then my beloved chelsea had to lose. their didnt play well, although dominating the match, it was rather squeezed. they kept attacking down the middle and didnt go down the flanks as often as they shld have. damn. and now Big Daddy Abramovich is pissed. ggxx mourinho.

3. Team USA

okay, it seems not many people know abt Team USA and their imba ownage exploits, so i shall share them with u all here. basically, this year the high profile NBA stars decided it was time to represent their country, after watching their beloved Dream Team get pwned by other countries like Argentina and France the past few years. so up stepped Kobe Bryant, LeBron James, Carmelo Anthony and Dwight Howard. ouch.

they participated in the recent FIBA World Basketball Championships, played 10 matches, won all 10, and had an average win margin of 30+ points. PWNAGE.

anw if u watch the videos u will notice that the americans took alot of 3 point shots. that's cause in the NBA their 3 point line is damn far; further than anywhere in the world. and in a European tournament like this, shooting a 3 pointer is just like shooting a normal 2 pointer in the NBA. lovely.

of course why do i need to talk so much when i got the VIDEOS for you. enjoy the sick plays. seriously. watch out for kobe bryant number 10.

interhouse bowling: after a lolwtfbbqgotpWned australian maths competition, i cabbed down to marina south for interhouse bowling.

bowled 3 games. first game 125, second game 140, third game 162.

but bayley-waddle finished LAST. sian la. probably cause we only had 2 teams? (up to 3 teams allowed per house) if they decided based on total pinfalls then we certainly were at a disadvantage. =(

interhouse tennis: postponed to next friday.

interhouse track and field: signed up for 100m, 400m and 4x100m. hahahahaha.

oh yeah signed up for inter CCA 4x100 relay as well. under what else but RAFFLES CYBERGAMING of course. LOL. just like last year, raffles cybergaming is so gonna own ass this year again LOL ftw (how apt, the usage of ftw. hahahaha)

meet jay chou up close and personal: there was a contest on www.nebo.sg which involved uploading a video of u singing a jay chou song. the top 50 ones would receive a pair of tickets to meet jay chou up close and personal when he comes to singapore to promote his new movie. Nebo supposedly invested heavily on this and made it a really exclusive event.

i sent in a video of me singing tui hou. its still there lol. go check it out if u want.

not surprisingly, i won a pair of tickets. haha. i say not surprisingly not because i think im good (the video wasnt perfect anw) but because the competition was, frankly, poor. lol.

i received a call from the pple at Nebo this afternoon, damn funny la. "Hello, are u desperadoz?" LOL.

then they told me i won tickets, but unfortunately they realised im "not a Nebo card member". and i have to be a nebo card member in order to claim the prize.

so here's the deal. Nebo 3 year membership, for a discounted rate of $29.95. sounds cheap, but u realise the next 2 years i'll be in army. and this year i have A levels. so im really not gonna be using the card much.

the card offers LOADS of freebies btw, ranging from free entry to exclusive movie screenings and concerts and stuff. but for me to spend $30 primarily to meet jay chou up close and personal just doesnt sound right.

REVIEW: The Dim Sum Dollies - History of Singapore

i didnt think dim sum dollies was particularly good. yes it was entertaining, humourous, witty, but only at certain times. most of the time i found the jokes kinda lame.

some of the sick jokes were way too sick. they sort of induced a "OH MY GOD did they just say that!!!?" reaction rather than a "LOL SICK lmaoooo". its like you go esplanade and you think they would at least have some kinda basic standard in their jokes. but it turns out they didnt really give a thought about class.

anw the other thing that irked me was how the play was so overwhelmingly anti government. hell i think even mr brown does it milder than them; the dim sum dollies looked like they were having a field they being anti government, and especially anti Lee Kuan Yew.

like dude, give him some respect man. i personally have the greatest respect for him. after all he is the founding father of singapore. instead, the dim sum dollies suanned him excessively, even to the point of mocking his crying on national television (during singapore's separation from malaysia).

that, i felt, was way too much. im sure mm lee himself would be quite pissed if he watched the show.

ironically, after all the excessive government bashing, the dim sum dollies sang national songs like "We Are Singapore" at the end of the play and even proclaimed that they will be present at the National Day Parade this year.

now how's that for utter irony?

hello hello. i've been very busy so here is what has been occupying my time and should occupy yours too -- YOUTUBE VIDEOS.

these are all really must watch. if u are into music.

BACKGROUND INFO: One Million Star. One Million Star, or 超級星光大道, is the biggest singing talent show in Taiwan at the moment. and the show basically proves one fact: that TAIWAN HAS LOADS OF TALENT. unlike singapore? lol. the talent show in taiwan is seriously of a much higher standard than singapore's.

DON'T MAKE ME GO INTO HOW I SING SO MUCH BETTER THAN some of the campus superstar guys. lol.

anyway. TALKING POINT: this guy called Yang Zong Wei. 楊宗緯. arguably the best singer in the competiton, got shortlisted into the final 6, then got sensationally exposed to have lied about his age. he is 29, but signed up as 23. in the end, he withdrew from the competiton out of will.

of course, by that stage of the competition, already had legions of fans, hence everyone clamoured for him to rejoin the competition. up to date, i... have no news whether he has indeed rejoined the competition. stupid official website http://www.wretch.cc/onemillionstar aint got no news.

here is a video of one of his performances: singing CAO GE'S BEI PAN. eh CAMPUS SUPERSTAR GUY, this is how u sing it dude.

here is another guy, Xiao Jing Teng, 蕭敬騰. he challenged Yang Zong Wei and sang BEI PAN too. this guy ah, at first his singing sounds wierd. he has this wierd accent, and doesn't pronounce his words properly. but u CAN hear that his vocals are really strong and powerful. my sis though disagrees vehemently that he can sing, cause she claims "if a guy cant pronounce his words properly he's a lousy singer."

you decide.

finally, it was PK time. meaning, the both of them face off on the same week, sing the same song, and the judges will grade them. the one with lower points will have to leave the competiton. watch and see what happens, as they both attempt to sing Xin Bu Liao Qing, which was sung by a girl, which Cao Ge sang live before, and which i can sing too. =D

Human Organ Transplant Act (HOTA)

lol looks like im gonna be writing a GP essay today. but pls hear me out, this is an issue i feel quite strongly abt.

it's abt the Human Organ Transplant Act (HOTA). in July 2004, Hota was amended to state that kidneys, livers, hearts and corneas suitable for transplant may be removed from all Singaporeans and permanent residents upon their death, unless they have opted out. Muslims are exempted, and need to opt-in to this scheme if they want to. before that, everyone had to opt in.

since it now becomes mandatory, when people turn 21, they will receive a letter from the Ministry of Health telling them abt this scheme that they are now part of. people who want to opt out can then do so by replying the mail, if they are too lazy to do so or otherwise, then they stay in the scheme.

although most singaporeans/PRs stay in the scheme, most cause they are too lazy to opt out, there is an increasing number of singaporeans who are opting out of this scheme, especially in the age range of 21-29 years old.

of course, the immediate consequence of doing such a stupid thing will be that these people are given a lower priority for donor organs if they ever need one. duh right. it is only fair.

and the far-reaching consequence will be, obviously, that they are bloody selfish and depriving another person of a chance at life if they happen to unexpectedly die.

and, as The New Paper had reported, here are some stats:

1) today, there are more than 600 patients waiting for an organ transplant in Singapore.
2) the demand for cadaveric organs for transplant continues to increase rapidly.
3) about 15 patients die each year waiting for a liver and about three patients die each year waiting for a heart.

so, u might think, why the hell would anyone want to opt out of this scheme? well, The New Paper conducted a survey on 150 people aged 21 to 29 years (25 said they would opt out), and here are some reasons given by some singaporeans. try not to snort or snigger haha.

Mr Benny Tan, an undergraduate who is turning 21 this year, said: 'I will opt out because I do not know how my organs will help others, whether it will be beneficial to the right people. There is the possibility that my organs may land up in a bad person's body.'

Ms Jennifer Chew, 26, a business consultant, said: 'I don't think of the issue a lot because I'm still young and have no health problems. If I need an organ, I would probably travel overseas and buy one or get a loved one to donate.'

the main concern of many is that their organs might be harvested before they are really dead.

Ms Chew said: 'If I stay in, doctors might be more willing to declare me dead in order to harvest my organs in the optimum time. What if I'm not really dead? I can't get over that.'

ok now here comes my opinions:

1) mr benny tan: a load of bullshit. "i do not know how my organs will help others"? it will damn well save a few lives, dude.
and for every 600 pple waiting for an organ transplant, how many of them are actually "bad people"? what's the chance of that? maybe 5-10 out of 600, and i think i would take that chance. hell if ur organs really end up in an ex criminal's, hey, tough luck, but u still saved a life.

2) ms jennifer chew sounds totally elitist, rich and snobbish. "If i need an organ, I would probably travel overseas and buy one". lol. someone rich liao. wtf. i must control myself here otherwise i might get into trouble with either one of these 2 pple lol.

hmm now the main concern on everyone's mind: "doctors might be more willing to declare me dead in order to harvest my organs in the optimum time."

of course, this might be a probable and real concern.

but i suggest an alternative way of looking at things: most injuries, illnesses and stuff can, and are, treated. heck, doctors WANT to save lives. that's what drives them in their profession.

if injuries become so severe that doctors have to fight really hard to save you, to the point that they are "willing to declare u dead" even if u aren't really dead yet, u're probably near death anyways. no use lengthening it. the truth is, might as well harvest ur organs in the optimum time. it's true. might be harsh and cold way of looking at it, but as i said, doctors want to save lives. they will try all they can and if there is hope they will. if it's really that bad, there's nth that can be done.

Mr Bernard Tan, 28, a research analyst, also has fears - about going into the hospital and not coming out alive.
He said: 'I recently had a procedure done in hospital. In the middle of the night, when I was in a bit of pain, the thought occurred to me that if something were to happen, and I had not opted out, doctors might not fight so hard to save me in order to harvest my organs.'

so dun be like bernard tan. that above comment is quite simply silly, childish and lame.

'The Ministry's theme for Hota has always been that it's a 'gift of life', because we recognise that it is a gift by the individual who has the potential to save lives.
so i would appeal to everyone not to opt out of HOTA. be nice. be generous.

another update! haha actually feeling quite lazy to update but i feel i have to talk abt certain stuff so might as well just chip in an entry.

1) champions league

ok everyone's talking abt man utd's 7-1 win, but they were playing at home and after the first 1 or 2 goals things were pretty much easy from then on.

CHELSEA, on the other hand, played away at the Mestalla stadium, where valencia have not lost in 10 games against english clubs. valencia even scored in the first half to make the aggregate 2-1, adding a huge amount of pressure on chelsea.

after some brilliant tactical changes during half time by Mourinho, chelsea come out and eventually came from behind to win 2-1 on the night, and 3-2 on aggregate. THAT is called character and determination.

as i have said, chelsea WILL win the quadruple this season. muahahaha!

2) i never say

well, whether u meant for it to be heard or not, the fact is, someone heard u saying it. that someone has absolutely no reason to cook up tales and as a result, we are quite annoyed with you.

however, instead of saying sorry, u react; aggresively defensive (see the irony) the worst part of it, and one which we all dont understand, is why u insist on never saying it. this comes across as being very irresponsible for ur actions, and of course adds to our annoyance.

it's not helped by the fact that u go crying whole day, and appeal for sympathy through spreading propanganda to others around u.

why so much politics? i was asked. i realise now that it transcends politics -- this has become a dictatorship.

oh yeah. i watched Cars last night. on my psp.

it's damn cool, switchin on the air con, lying on my bed, watching a movie on my psp with earphones on for maximum sound effects. NICE.

Cars is a really nice movie. it's up there with King Kong, The Guardian, The Prestige, etc. as one of my all time favourites.

its graphics are good on my psp, and the storyline's quite nice. there are many funny moments and then there are sad emotional moments. quite a good balance. NICE.

tmr i shall watch the blair witch project. hohoho. perhaps watch it at 3am. can't wait. DesperadoZ LOVES HORROR MOVIES =D

hello all.

long overdue post abt SRC. src was fun, we emerged champs, i struck out 5 pple and hit 1 home run out of 1 at bat. not bad (pun intended) la.

but u see, there went our march holidays. BOTH saturdays and sundays of the holidays were spent on the SRC tournament, and monday and wednesday was on training.

thus the sucky results. today got back bio and wtf. yi rui, james and me all got 52%. LOL. for me its excusable im noob. for yi rui not his strongest subject. BUT JAMES CAI! alas, u h3 bio student wtf u h2 bio get liddat. hahahah=P

basically, KEEFE TAN loves cao ge. and keefe is in the official cao ge fan club, the Gary Friend Club.

being a Gary Friend Club member reaps many benefits, like getting free tickets to watch him whenever he comes to singapore.

the last time he came, it was during the Project Superstar Grand Finals. i won a ticket to go but didnt go :(

this time he came to singapore again and was in NTU for the NTU CAMPUS CONCERT. ahhhhhhhhhhhh.

of course i went. once in a very darned long time u know.

it was AWESOME. first time watching cao ge LIVE and it's really indescribable. somemore cause im from the fan club i had FRONT ROW SEATS. whoooohooo.

cao ge was running all around the LT, which is slightly smaller than our rjc LT1. i was seating near the aisle and he ran up and down the same aisle i was sitting in AHHHHHH HE WAS SO CLOSE.

he sang a total of 8 songs: 3-7-20-1, bei pan, bao hu ni, superman, liang zhi lian ren, tian mi mi, tian shi ji du de shen huo, and shi jie wei yi de ni for encore.

the thing that struck me most was that he's very humble -- he came on stage at the start and said "hi i'm cao ge, qing duo duo zhi jiao" which means "please give me pointers/guide me along".
im sure la he need pple to guide him. so pro already. cb.

the second thing is that he REALLY likes to get close to the fans. every opportunity he gets he either throws his posters into the crowd while singing a song or comes down from stage to mingle with his fans.

there was once he sang tian mi mi and he had a rose in his hand. he went scouting around the LT for a girl to give it to. omg.

then in the end he found the girl -- someone siting directly in the row behind me. OMG. cause there was an empty seat beside her, and cao ge went to sit there and proceeded to sing the remainder of the song to her before giving her the rose OMG.

CAO GE WAS LIKE just 2 metres in front of me!? AHHHHH. really DAMN CLOSE.

everyone was going crazy and snapping pictures.

anyways after the concert it was time to SIGN AUTOGRAPHS. i brought my coveted cao ge CD and went up on stage to get it autographed by him. after signing it he looked up at me and then shook my hand. AHHH his hand was damn warm im serious.

hello. i am very sorry all for leaving this blog dead.

not that anyone seems to care haha. sorry lah. been studying and studying and studying. really really busy.

i shall not proceed to talk about their 11-0 ownage of Laos, the news has probably spread far and wide. heh heh. been trying to get my friends to watch their matches. but its been difficult. the national stadium also not getting many seats filled up. sian.

dunno why some singaporeans just so apathetic abt their own national soccer team.

so basically we are in the SEMI FINALS. first leg will be played in malaysia, so that's out of the question. but 2nd leg, 28th january, will be at THE NATIONAL STADIUM! whoooohooooo.

hello all. this is my long overdue update!

chiangmai trip was FUN. i kinda miss it already. damn. it's always the case isnt it. just like OBS, orientation, etc. after everything is over then u start missing it. haha.

we clinched silver in the men's open, losing to NUS in the finals. damn. NUS got all the ex-RJC pple who are perhaps just a bit better than us. or maybe we were just quite unlucky that day lol.

went for a traditional thai massage on our last night in chiangmai and it was rather good. 2hrs for about SGD20+. and special services after that some more.

the trip was overall quite fun. loads of memories and lots of interesting stuff happened.

i shall try to summarise. monday went to shanghai, tuesday went to su zhou, wednesday and thursday was spent in hangzhou, and friday saturday we were back in shanghai.

monday: i realised, at the airport, that we were going to be accompanied by my maternal grandparents and my grandpa's brother. oh btw, the one i visited at the hospital was my paternal grandma. she's doing fine now.

anyways first thing my grandpa did when he saw me was to hand me a stack of bundled 1000 ren min bi notes. LOL wtf. my mum told me sg dollars is ren min bi divided by 5 so that meant he gave me about SGD200 to spend.

he told me "ni yao mai she me jiu mai she me". lol. literally meaning what you want to buy just buy it.

the flight was cool. SIA = imba. i watched STEP UP. there was also miami vice and monster house but i ended up playing Grand Theft Auto on my PSP. LOL.

on my way back the plane had ON DEMAND movies = 60+ different movies and i watched Crash and Monster House.

monster house sucks. Crash is a damn good movie, if u like movies with twists. kinda like The Prestige. no wonder Crash won 4 Oscars. ho ho ho. it is a FREAKING GOOD MOVIE u all shld go and watch it.

the name of the movie kinda sucked though. especially since i was watching it on an aircraft. >.<

tuesday: the tour guide told us that "su zhou chu mei nu". meaning all su zhou = hot chicks. but bullshit leh i didnt see much. we went for some fashion parade and LOL i was saying my grandma looked better than some of them.

opposite our hotel in su zhou was a CD shop and i bought a bianca ryan CD from there! didnt know that bianca ryan got a CD out already. (bianca ryan is the 12 yr old child prodigy who has an inhuman voice. go watch her videos on my earlier post if u havent already done so)

whoohoo the CDs were cheap cheap cheap. one cd for 12 yuan. SGD$2 plus only LOL. then its like the CDs all damn anyhow. one CD got many many many albums lol. i saw a Jay Chou karaoke VCD (10yuan) which contained 90 songs. all his albums, even his newest one Still Fantasy. LOL! too bad i didnt buy. shld have. damn.

wednesday, thursday: hangzhou. beautiful. both the city and the pple. lol. hangzhou = hot chicks. tour guide told us that hangzhou was the #1 destination for people to live in. serene, peaceful, exceptional place. i like.

thursday night: i was playing Grand Theft Auto on my PSP and was about to complete mission #2142145424 when the analog stick dropped out. WTF. i shall go and repair it soon because now i CANT FIND THE DAMN WARRANTY CARD. nooooooooooooooooooo.

friday, saturday, sunday: back in shanghai. shopping. cold cold cold weather. the problem with shanghai now is that fake goods are practically gone. seems like the law has decided to get tough on these fakes and all the famous places selling really good imitations have all closed down.

so now u see people on the streets, with placards showing adidas and nike stuff. they will be like "come come got nike, adidas shoes, good!" then u are supposed to ask "where where!" and they shall lead u down secluded alleys and walkways to a concealed indoor place, where there are astonishingly real looking fakes galore. it has sort of like become a personal business.

quite interesting. like buying drugs or sth. lol.

ok immediately this morning i sped down after less than 4 hours of sleep to kallang for TRAINING. whooohoo it is good to see the softballers again. had a nice fun time.

okok this is really cool so i decided to blog about it.

i was in Popular today and i saw a copy of Russell Lee's True Singapore Ghost Stories book 15. lol last time i was an ardent fan of his series but i thought the latest one was book 10. lol.

anyway i saw a special report in the book about Rock and Roll music -- whether it is really satanic. he sort of investigated and published his findings inside lah. anyways the main geist of it is the technique of "backmasking", or playing a song backwards.

i first heard about this a few years back, when a DJ claimed that Missy Elliot's Work It, when played backwards, has a sick message. also, the more well known one, Led Zepplin's Stairway to Heaven was widely criticised for having satanic messages when played backwards.

lol. remember a few posts back i talked about the 2 best movies of 2006? well here i am now with my verdict of what could possibly be the WORST movie this year.

its called Final Call. its supposed to be the sequel to the "hit" jap horror movie One Missed Call.

well here's DesperadoZ's movie review.

movie name: Final Call
rating: 0.5/5

sypnosis: Hot Jap Chick #1 is always getting bullied by her classmates. She decides to hang herself, but does not die. Ends up in a coma instead. Her classmates go on a school trip and start receiving smses with the words "Forward this or die!". The first few stupid ones dun care and, of course, die.

Then they realise it's real and they battle it out to survive. Thats when the hilarious parts come in.

Oh, one more thing, once the msg is forwarded it cannot be forwarded anymore. Meaning the next one to get it has to die. lol. Then they realise the smses are being sent by, who else, Hot Jap Chick #1 (who is supposed to be in a coma). Doesn't make sense? Precisely. Hot Jap Chick #2 is her classmate and tries to stop her. Will she succeed? Watch it and find out lol.

verdict: this is a no brainer, really. The only reason why this movie got half a star is purely based on the 2 really hot jap leading actresses. It was SUPPOSED to be a scary movie but most of the time people ended up laughing. kinda screwed up and reminds me of the only other show i really think is crap, the "horror" movie The Park. (i talked about it in one my diary-x entries last time)

it is a complete waste of your $7 (or even more). but since this movie was treated, i shant complain too much. lol. there is NO plot, the deaths DO NOT make sense, the beginning is "wah lao damn lame", the ending is super anti-climax and totally spoils everything, and the whole thing is just a pamela-anderson's-cup-size grade piece of crap that wastes 1hr 30mins of ur time.

the only reason why u would watch this is perhaps to be able to finally watch a horror movie and laugh. come to think of it, it is actually worth it for all of u to watch it and realise how lame it is.

other than that, Final Call makes as much sense as 2 guys fighting it out in a boxing match at MOS over a girl. LOL!

today was an eventful day i guess.

after work i went school to study. then my dad came to pick me up at around 6pm and told me we going to visit my grandma (paternal) in the hospital. he told me she had been having a fever and suffered a heart attack this morning. realised it was quite serious and my dad told us that it could be our last time seeing her.

well what should my reaction have been? i was, honestly, just simply thinking "oh okay".

i dunno why, but i smsed daniel yip telling him about it. i was like saying the same things that i had been thinking: that these kinda things are inevitable, especially since my grandma is a smoker.

then daniel was like "dunno why u sms me for tho" and i was like "aiya i also dunno. hmm ok nvm."

then he was like "worried then say la dunneed hide emotions under your biceps oO"

i was kinda taken aback i guess. i didnt even know if i was worried. was i supposed to be? i told him i wont call it worried, and said that these kinda things are inevitable and there was nothing anyone could do about it. which is true lah, and i know it's true, but somehow i felt like i was just saying them for the sake of saying them.

then we reached my grandma's ward, and i saw her lying there. kinda helpless. drifting off into sleep then suddenly frowning, as if in pain and then opening her eyes wide. the result of her having mild heart attacks. she was unable to talk, and didnt respond.

my sis thought i was not serious at all, was kinda chiding me for my like nonchalent facial expressions. she was calling out "ah ma" to my grandma and i was simply staring at her, not saying a word. but deep down inside it hurt every single second to watch my grandma in such a state.

when my sis walked away, i started to call out to my grandma. i tried to smile at her as she stared right back at me and called out, hoping for any sense of recognition.

i dunno why i was like that. so reluctant to display my feelings in front of others. i guess that's the one big thing i realised about myself today. it's like being a well known joker and happy-go-lucky guy u would never expect me to become like that. and somehow i unwittingly had to "live up to expectations" and gradually became the guy that i am now. i mean, trust me, it would be wierd if one day keefe turns up in class/training being so very emo and serious.

i was talking to a good friend last night and she could actually understand my situation. she was saying i sounded stressed. then i was like no lah how can im such a happy-go-lucky guy. then she said sth like "the more happy-go-lucky u are, the more stressed u would be." sounds kinda paradoxical but it's kinda true.

she pointed out that "everyone sees u as such and thus nobody would understand how u really feel sometimes and because u are like that, everyone would think that 'keefe would be so happy and free of problems' so nobody cares about how u feel". i guess that is exactly what is happening.

i wouldn't say its a facade. i really am a nice, happy go lucky guy who loves a good laugh anytime. but maybe it's become such a norm and part of everyone's perception of me that i have become sort of a guy who hides most of his other emotions.

hell, the best example would be my blog. i realised that i have been making a conscious effort to post happy posts. every single one of my posts have been happy. no emo posts, no rantings, no whinings. it has just been the Happy Life of Keefe the Happy Guy.

dunno la.

so anyway. my grandma's really in a weak condition now. when i was looking at her i was honestly very very sad. it is a very, very real experience to watch someone having mild heart attacks. i cannot describe it but i was quite affected by it.

i did not cry, even as tears welled up in my eyes. it would be crazy if anyone saw me crying, i was thinking. loads of stuff were running through my head as my grandma stared into my eyes. like whether it would be the last time i was seeing her.

i even ran to the toilet to make sure my hair was neat. cause i just wanted her to have maybe the best last impression of me as far as possible.

went kbox with jean, yi xuan, kelly and gavan today.

we went to the ang mo kio one lol the one above the macs.

basically we were supposed to sing from 2-7pm.

ended up singing from 2-8.30pm and still nobody came to stop us. haha but we decided its too late so go home lor. its quite sick they dun bother about us one wahahaha. goood gooood value for money.

only bad point is that the place kinda smoky. =/

but can sing damn sick long. and the k student package so it only costs us $11. (with service charge and stuff it amounted to about $13.50)

the best part about today: omg i MANAGED TO CLEAR SUPERWOMAN. holyshit.

crazy crazy. i was feeling it after singing Hei Se You Mo and later Me and Mrs Jones. so i tried Qing Ren Jie Kuai Le, another Cao Ge song. i managed to hit it and then tried superwoman.

YESSSSSSSSSS i did it. then i tried all other cao ge songs there and i could too.

omg i damn happy. but that was probably one off. :(

this morning i went to the SINGAPORE EXPO for soccer. in case u all don't know, i've been involved in this soccer tournament organised by the people from Faith Community Baptist Church. the soccer matches are basically 2 halves of 7 minutes each, at a field beside hall 9.

my dear good friend mr lim wei ren is from this FCBC, and he warmly invited me to join his team. after all, his team are in need of a certain 30 million dollar pound striker nicknamed "Sheva".

last week we played, and i was kinda disappointing. failed to score leh. but that's normal considering shevchenko was also missing the target for Chelsea. told u we were very much alike. wahahahaha.

this week, shevchenko has picked up form, with 4 goals in the last 3 matches for chelsea. just last night he scored 1 and assisted one. and u shall find out in a while how i fared.

anyways so this morning, i travelled ALL THE WAY to the other side of earth for the match. i was late. oops woke up late. turned out i missed our team's first match, which ended up 0-0. team manager wei ren said they were sorely missing the 30 million pound striker upfront. wahahahaha.

so i played the next match, and promised to deliver just like shevchenko did. my teammates laughed and pointed out that the "30million pound striker" failed to score last week and i merely assured them that i, like the real life shevchenko, will pick up form and score.

by the end of first half, and we were down 1-0. wtf.

yours truly was angry, and determined.

2nd half, and not long after johnny bai kicked a corner and it hit one of our opponent's hands. PENALTY.

wei ren immediately asked me to take it. i looked at the goal and it was kinda small so i was like "wah lao goal so small". my teammates heard me complain and got worried at my lack of confidence. lol!

i told them there was a possibility that i would miss just like frank lampard does. LOL. they got even more worried.

then someone told me to "dun ram the ball, just place it". i was like wtf the goal so small im sure can score without kicking it hard. so i dun care and just rammed it into the corner...... and scored. 1-1. shevchenko was getting it going man wahahaha.

then later i got the ball in from around the penalty area. i controlled it, turned and unleashed an unstoppable shot straight past the keeper, a la didier drogba! 2-1.

not soon after, i got the ball from midfield. looked up and saw 2 defenders in front of me. managed to dribble past them both and unleashed a shot from the side, which was not very strong but the keeper fumbled and it went over him! 3-1.

match ends. hat trick. whooohoooo. 1 win 1 draw and we were looking good for first place.

alas! last match of the day and we lost 0-2. wtf. so we ended up second. and no bananas for 2nd place. wtf.

i was quite disappointed, but then wei ren surprised me with a BIRTHDAY PRESENT. an adidas official CHELSEA soccer ball. WHOOHOOO.

shit i was damn touched i hugged wei ren wahahahaha. damn nice la him. first a chelsea mug from england and now a chelsea soccer ball for my birthday.

and tomorrow going kboxing with my classmates to sort of celebrate my bday? whooohooo fun.

who needs girls when u have friends like these?

okay before i talk about my wonderful day, let me talk about my work!

in case u all didnt know, i started working as a waiter at the Conrad hotel since yesterday. thanks to brudder kelly. lol and since then it seems all my friends now want to work there too.

in fact, i got zhao ying a job there too. brought him with me today wahahaha.

so anyways my job is fairly easy. i work at a restaurant which only serves breakfast. working hours are from 7am- 11/ 11.30/ 12. depends on the number of workers that day. cause the breakfast only serves from 6.00am to 10.30am.

the rush hour's usually from 7 to at most 9am. after that it's damn slack cause not much people. lol! oh yeah i get paid $6 an hour. sounds kinda meagre? well meals are free. and the meals are buffet. so yes i've been having buffet lunch, cooked by Conrad chefs themselves, taste really great, for the past 2 days. breakfast's free too but i cant seem to wake up early enough to go and grab a bite before my shift at 7am so nvm haha.

basically i ask people if they want somemore coffee/tea, and pour for them. i clear plates, and set tables. i dun even need to wash the plates just bring all the plates to the back where an auntie cleans it. haha. very easy job. lovely aircon environment and music creates a nice ambience. and NICE PEOPLE TOO. damn nice.

especially the in-charge, jasmine. damn freaking nice. especially today.

she pulled kelly me and zhaoying to the kitchen today and taught us how to make cappucino and latte using the coffee machine. then ended up each of us made one cup and we could drink it after that! so cool and its damn nice wahahahaha.

then later towards the end of the shift she suddenly chased me out of the kitchen. lol. asked me to "stop idling around the kitchen" in some "serious" tone. then okay lor i went back to the restaurant then most of the other waiters/waitresses not there. so obviously something fishy. ahaha.

after that she came and asked me to go into the kitchen cause she wants me "to wash some plates". LOL! i went there and everyone was waiting and jasmine took out a cake! then all sang happy birthday to me. DAMN NICE LAH i so touched i wanna cry.

jasmine said the cake was a Conrad speciality. CHOCOLATE ROYALE. and the cake REALLY DAMN NICE. wah lao.

she gave me a Conrad bear also. CUTE.

after that went buffet lunch again. lol. then met the softballers at dhoby ghaut! we went to paradign to play pool $5 per hour CHEAP.

lol face damn serious omg. look at the intensity in my eyes!

DesperadoZ's Movie Review(s)

hey okay i just came back from watching The Prestige and i feel i HAVE to blog about this wonderful movie. thus the return of the much coveted DesperadoZ's Movie Review.

i'm gonna review 2 movies which i think qualify as the top 2 this year. they both have super screwed up and not interesting names but are both exceptional. The Prestige and The Guardian.

let's start with The Guardian.

Movie Name: The Guardian
Stars: Kevin Costner, Ashton Kutcher
DesperadoZ's rating: 4.95/5

Why it's that good: This movie is primarily an action-packed thrill ride packed with humour and feel-good moments. Wonderful, and very very meaningful. After the movie u are likely to go "wow that was an awesome movie/wow the whole movie was damn meaningful".

Any bad points?: None. The only reason why it didnt get a perfect 5/5 is because i think The Prestige just slightly has an edge over it.

Movie Review: Basically this movie is about the Rescue Swimmers - people part of the Coast Guards who go on missions into deep seas to rescue survivors of a shipwreck. The movie starts off brilliantly with immediate action as you get a glimpse of Ben Randall (Kevin Costner), the legendary Rescue Swimmer who has won every award there is and has rescued the most number of people of all time, in action. The rescue scenes are gripping and so suspenseful u would be clenching ur fists and staring without blinking. No kidding.

Alas, the legend Ben Randall loses his crew in a freak accident during a mission. He is then sent to be a teacher at the "A" School, an elite training programme for wannabe Rescue Swimmers, to let him get on with life and forget about the accident.

There, he meets cocky, arrogant Jake Fischer (Ashton Kutcher), who is no short fart himself, being a multiple gold medalist swimmer during his schooldays. He immediately leaves an impression as he declares to be the one to beat all of legend Ben Randall's records. That's when the humour part kicks in as we see the cocky arrogant Jake in action during training and how Ben conducts his unorthodox training sessions.

Then? Go watch the movie. Don't wanna spoil it. Just trust me, and yi rui (who watched with me) and my sis and loads of other pple who say it's a damn good movie.

now, then, lets move on to the movie which is still fresh in my mind, The Prestige.

Movie Name: The Prestige
Stars: Hugh Jackman, Christian Bale, Scarlett Johansson (HOT CHICK)
DesperadoZ's rating: 5/5

Why it's that good: Dark, gripping movie. Storyline is full of twists and turns. Wonderful acting from all of the main cast. Presence of hot chick Scarlett Johansson is a godsend. Director Christopher Nolan (Batman Begins) scores once again. Movie can even get you emotional.

Any bad points?: May seem confusing at first, but storyline all adds up in the end.

Movie Review: The flashy, sophisticated Robert Angier (Hugh Jackman) is a consummate entertainer, while the rough-edged purist Alfred Borden (Christian Bale) is a creative genius who lacks the ability to showcase his magical ideas.

They start out as admiring friends and partners. But when their biggest trick goes terribly wrong, causing in the death of Robert Angier's wife, they become enemies for life--each intent on outdoing and upending the other. Trick by trick, show by show, their ferocious competition builds until it knows no bounds, while the lives of everyone around them hang in the balance.

The movie is shot in a classic "recounting" format where it starts with Borden in court being accused of the murder of Angier. The movie then slowly recounts the events that led to the court case, and, as we soon find out, things are not as they seem.

What also was intriguing about the two lead characters was that there is no right or wrong, no hero or villain. As I was telling daniel yip, it was either both of them lived or both of them died. As it turned out, the movie was loaded with twists and the ending is simply astounding.

WATCH IT.

check this hilarious conversation with daniel yip liang hoong. love it. i was telling him abt a guide i had to do for biology. we went to MacRitchie for some trail and basically had to do a short guide on the things we could see on the trail.

hello im back for an update.

today had training. kinda fun. the stupid haze was back. wtf morning i woke up and there was a burning smell. crazy.

after training we chionged the kfc at kallang. whoohoo. fattening food. then i went to dhoby ghaut with alvin natanael kumarga (whoohoo i just love spelling his name) to play pool.

he told me that place cheap what. okay it was. $6 per hour. and the place was nice. no smoke, orderly, kinda like some country club. hahaha.

POOL WAS FUN. i tell u, it's good to play with a guy who's about as good as you. okay heck we are both simply pool pros. hahahahaha. challenging.

we played 9 ball instead of the conventional solid-stripes thing.

it wasnt as bad as the score puts it to be. poor kumarga shot the 9th ball in together with the white ball 4 sets in a row so it was just tough luck. hahah.

speaking of tough luck it reminds me of The Mad Magazine game we played in school last week. freaking fun lah. i played it when i was very young and that day i wanted to borrow Monopoly but it was taken and i spotted Mad Magazine so we played that.

ahahaha it's a damn dumb game but that's precisely why it's fun.

basically the rule of the game is to lose all your money. and wierd rules apply like u can only roll the dice with ur left hand (if u use ur right hand everyone pays u $500)

okay it's just damn fun i think those who haven't tried it should try it someday.

btw GOOD NEWS. i GOT IN! the RJC-NIE-CTFS Bukit Timah Nature Reserve DNA Barcoding Project. holy shit. 60+ applicants and they had to choose 13 and i got it.

u know i didnt think i would really get it cause on the application form there was a part which asked u for your promo results -.-

and my bio was a D.

i've no idea, but i reckon me getting in has something to do with my "unexplained love for biology" when asked to do a write-up on why i should be selected for the project. wahahahaha. YAY.

i damn happy. D for bio also can. proves that passion > results.

though i would love to have both.

okay okay. since there have been pics and videos already, i shall do a proper update!

PCB GOES TO SENTOSA.

so firstly, the PCB tradition of acquiring mats. i mean, when u go to the beach, u GOTTA have mats on the sand right? so how can u get these mats? using paper of course. enjoy as chiam does the formalities.

now on to the even more fun part. remember in the previous post i talked about throwing mudballs? well here's the footage.

basically we played a game which, ironically, i thought of. we placed a frisbee face down on the surface on the water. it floats. then each of us takes turns to dump sand onto the underside of the frisbee. the one who dumps enough sand to make it sink LOSES and gets owned by mudballs from 11 other people.

guess what? i got owned. cb. all aim me. the frisbee sunk by others STILL AIM ME. lol.

watch closely as i try to withstand the mudball attacks at first, then it gets unbearable and I FLEE! lol.

lol then after that chiam gets owned! whoohoo.

finally, u have another one of PCB's favourites. only PCB does it. the royal rumble! a circular boundary is drawn in the sand and 11 people get inside with the aim of throwing people out. last man standing wins. enjoy.

hello. it's been 2 weeks since my last update so i decided to get my ass up and update.

nothing much has been happening lately. hmmm. yesterday PCB went to SENTOSA. ah that was fun.

all eleven of us (or twelve?) headed down to sentosa on a bright cheery hari raya puasa. we played volleyball, soccer, frisbee. we threw mudballs. wahahaha. the best part.

u see, wet sand is sick and slimy. scoop a big ball of wet sand up and sprinkle with dry sand. abracadabra, u got a big, hard mudball. throw it at people and it hurts. badly. when the whole PCB throws at you, it hurts like hell.

and they all cb aim me. wah pain.

nevertheless it was damn fun as always. but i dun have pics so now blogging abt it makes it seem boring. damn.

let's talk about other interesting stuff.

like tomorrow! i'm gonna perform with kaiyang in the canteen at 12.30pm. fun fun fun. watch out. lol. for us, that is.

whooohooo this post is finally up and i guarantee it will be a fun and hilarious read.

FIRSTLY, our cybergamings booth.

like wtf. all the other booths were like so nice. sigh but it can't be helped when 2 people have to do everything. where are all your members when u need them? nowhere. cause cybergamings is some stupid CCA that people go to just for a few hours of fun a week. that's the harsh reality of our CCA. hell i don't even have an official member list. -.-

softball is such a nicer CCA to be associated with. lol. kudos to all the girls' hard work. designing and decorating all the stuff. once again they displayed their imba gosu (deborah's new favourite word!) art skills with this wonderful banner. take a look.

then this was a funny sight at LT1 during our Befriender's meeting. lol. everyone got nice colourful shirts then suddenly...

so anyways Befriender duty was really dumb cause there were too many Befrienders and too little visitors. so most of us ended up slacking around and walking here and there. oh yeah kaiyang was singing in a bid to raise some funds for the canoeist's Laos CIP trip. so me and farhan decided to join in! lol.

fun sia. farhan sang More Than Words while i got jerik to play Now and Forever for me to sing. fun fun fun.

then i went eating lunch and daniel seemed to have a penchant for taking pics of me while eating.

so anyway i was walking around school and saw all these posters of a guy (or girl!?) with his arms out and with the words "raffles rendevous : what are you looking for?".

so i began to wonder...

...what i was looking for.

then suddenly 5 minutes later it's head came off. and 2 suspicious characters were lurking around the poster. caught in the act! if you see closely the mischievous grin on the girl is clearly visible. lol.

finally the softballers decided to take a photo together in front of the poster, whose head was mysteriously reattached.

OF COURSE, all these events led to DesperadoZ opening up and investigation. thus these 3 videos were formed. It's called Physics 101 : What happens when a tennis ball hits your head.

BEFORE your fingers start to itch and u make hasty decisions, please spend some time reading through my comprehensive guide while enjoying the music from my playlist =D

DesperadoZ's Ultimate Guide to the PlayStation Portable (PSP)

1. What is a PlayStation Portable?

A PSP is primarily a gaming device, but it is capable of practically anything and everything. U can listen to mp3s, watch movies, play games and even surf the internet. It has built-in WIFI, thus go to any wireless hotspot and u can connect to the internet. Basically it is the ultimate entertainment device.

It has a USB point, so u can transfer files over to ur PSP from ur computer via a USB cable (costs abt $10) at a rather fast rate.

Games for the PSP are sold in UMD discs, which look like minidiscs and are slotted into a UMD slot at the top of the PSP. kinda like cartridges are for Nintendo's GameBoy. UMD discs can also contain movies, music, etc.

The PSP also has a memory card slot. It uses the MemoryStick Pro Duo memory cards. I'm using a 1GB memory card, gonna get my hands on a 4GB card soon, which is the biggest u can find in the market now.

2. I want to get my hands on a freaking psp!!!! What should I do?

You need to have some basic knowledge abt the PSP thus u have to continue reading this freaking guide, duh! Don't be like me, walking around Sim Lim Square clueless and only thinking "i want to buy a psp".

3. I heard that you can buy the PSP in many different versions. I am confused! How is this possible!

The PSP, like most tech gadgets, have VERSIONS. this version shit is damn important. When Sony first released the PSP, it was version 1.00. Then it got upgraded to version 1.50. This is the lowest version u can find in the market, i dun think there are any version 1.00 PSPs left.

Basically version 1.50 is the "pirated" version. Some pro guys who eat sushi for breakfast, lunch and dinner figured out a way to configure the PSP such that it is able to play games without a UMD. meaning u can download the games from the internet (for free) and store it into onto a memory card for use on ur PSP. dun need to spend money on UMD discs which cost at least $70 per disc.

Of course, everyone turned to this method what. who wants to spend $70 per game for the PSP. crazy ah. so Sony was suffering losses and had to do something. Thus they decided to upgrade the PSP, such that the newer versions are unable to play downloaded games.

Upgrades are easily available from the internet. Just need to download the update from the Sony PSP website onto ur computer and then transfer over to ur PSP via USB.

So u are thinking who the hell would wanna upgrade their PSP right? Well Sony is, of course, (seemingly) smart. It had to, and did, include many new stuff in the upgrades. For example, version 2.00 had a web browser, which the version 1.50 didnt. This was a key feature in the upgrade and let to many pple actually upgrading their PSPs. The current version for the PSP is version 2.81.

Also, the game developers began to release games that REQUIRED ur PSP to have a version 2.00 and above to be able to play it. So even if u downloaded these games (which are very popular and fun ones like Winning Eleven 9) from the internet it won't work on ur version 1.50. This also gave rise to some upgrading unintentionally, as when u insert such UMD discs it sort of upgrades for you. So those who wanted to test out playing from an original disc and ended up crying. LOL!

Alas, it seems like the end for all the PSP pirates! Sony wins..but not for long.

4. Device Hook (DevHook)

All seemed lost for the PSP pirates.. all the newly released games could no longer work on their pathethic puny PSP version 1.50...

Until those same people who eat sushi for breakfast, lunch and dinner came along.

They managed to create a program called Device Hook, which TRICKS your existing firmware (which is a version 1.50 since it can only work with version 1.50s) into thinking that it is actually a newer version.

Basically, you download the latest firmware upgrade from the official Sony PSP website, then transfer everything into your memory card, such that the firmware runs FROM your memory card and DOES NOT get integrated into your own original "hard drive".

There have been rumours that such a move will totally screw up your PSP but that is 100% UNTRUE. This is because everything is stored and ran from your memory card. If there is a program or corrupt file (which is highly unlikely) you can simply delete it from your memory card. Simple. And oh yes it does not screw up your memory card. This shit is 100% safe.

ANYWAY. This DevHook shit is indeed imba. It's shit cause it's piracy, and piracy is bad. I AM A HIPFRIEND, remember. I DON'T SUPPORT piracy. nods.

So anyways you own a version 1.50, download the DevHook program straight off the internet (which usually comes with the latest firmware already), and just transfer everything into your memory card. Easy, simple, costless. You can now download and play all the latest games on your PSP again.

HAHA. sushi men own Sony. lol.

5. Selecting a PSP version to buy

So here's the deal. In the market now there are more than 1 versions of the PSP. You can buy the version 1.50 to be able to download unlimited games and save you hell loads of money, or you can be HIP and support originals by buying a version 2.60 or equivalent.

The version 1.50 is more expensive, for obvious reasons. The last time when i was buying the PSP the version 1.50 cost $330 while the version 2.60 cost $260. Yes there is a difference of $70, which is about the cost of 1 original UMD game disc.

The difference might put you off, but MAKE THE RIGHT CHOICE. You can save more than $1000 worth of money in games through downloading. lol. Serious. So make the right choice.

If the shop is selling a version 2.60 PSP and a version 2.81 PSP at different prices, dude, what should you do? Duh WALK OUT OF THE SHOP. Don't be conned wtf. A version 2.60 can easily be upgraded FREE to a version 2.81 (if you have been reading the guide carefully u would have known as well).

Oh yeah, you could actually DOWNGRADE your PSP. Meaning you can save $30 and buy a version 2.60, then go back home and downgrade it into a version 1.50. However this process IS risky. Cause you are meddling with your PSP's firmware. There IS a chance of your whole PSP screwing up on you. In that case, you save $30 but lose $260. LOL. So i would recommend all of you NOT to take that risk.

6. Buying a PSP

Okay, so now you have got a brief idea on how the PSP works. Rather, how a "pirated" PSP works. lol. So now's the time to tell you HOW you should go about buying and selecting a PSP.

The BEST place to buy a PSP, or most electronic devices for that matter, is Sim Lim Square. But don't just rush into any shop to get your PSP. You wanna save money, be prepared to do a little work for it. Go around the shops and ask around for the version of PSP you want. Go to as many shops as you can (i think i went to all) and get the lowest price you can possibly find.

For me, the cheapest one I could find was a shop on the first floor. I can't remember where, but it wasn't a particularly big shop. PSP v2.60 at $260 and a v.150 at $330. One shop gave me a price of $290 for a version 2.60 wtf. jokers. saved $30 thanks to my hard work. hahaha.

Then you got to buy a screen protector. It's a must, the salesguy there will probably recommend it to you. To protect your PSP screen from scratches. You wouldn't wanna be playing games or watching movies on a scratched PSP screen. Costs about $15.

A USB cable is also a must. To transfer everything from your computer to your PSP. Simple. around $10 for one.

Lastly the most important one, a memory card. I would recommend a 1GB for all you non piracy supporters. It would be more than sufficient to store movies/songs. For all you (smart) people planning to buy a version 1.50 to download and play all the games in the world, I would recommend AT LEAST a 2GB memory card, even a 4GB if you are feeling rich. This is because games' sizes can range from 100mb to 1.1 GB so a 2GB would be a safe bet. You would then have much more spare space for songs/movies/other games.

7. Conclusion

So there you go. All you need to know about buying a PSP. Cheers and say thanks to me for my wonderful guide which I took quite long to write. Cheers and hope this guide was useful.

back from camp!

hello all. im back from the odac-organised Outdoor Buffet.

it was quite fun actually.

on the first day we kayaked, then night cycled. kayaking was fun, although i would have preferred to kayak in a more physically demanding single kayak. but it was fun anyways. shared a kayak with clara, a pro basketballer. haha. chatted quite alot and before long we kayaked for more than 4 hours. fun.

then we had night cycling at night, which was one of the main reasons i joined the camp. it sounded really cool to do night cycling, and it didn't disappoint. i love cycling, and somehow at night it's so much nicer and more enjoyable. however we had to walk like 5km back to our campsite, cause we had to return our bikes and the bicycle kiosk was like 5km from our campsite. ANYHOW. damn far. lol.

2nd day we did all the ropes stuff. rock climbed, abseiled, flying foxed, then did the challenge ropes course. it was fun. kinda easy though. hurrhurr xD

at night it was some treasure hunt around the compound. oh btw the compound's just beside the National Service Resort and Country Club (NSRCC) which is in some ulu part of Changi. its called the MOE-something and the place is really windy but really noisy as well cause every 5 minutes a plane goes zooming past and it's damn freaking loud cause it's nearing landing and thus is travelling close to ground.

the closer a plane is to ground the noiser it is. so it was crazy and eardrum bursting. oh but at night u CAN fall asleep though cause either:
1) in the wee hours there are not much flights into singapore (less demand)
2) u are too tired and gets KO-ed immediately when u lie down

so anyways we had a fun treasure hunt. we finished 2nd out of the 4 groups there so it wasnt that bad haha.

overall it was a fun and enriching camp, though the food can be improved. and somehow i didnt get to enjoy it THAT much cause half the time u are really exhausted so maybe better lodging? LOL. dunno lah. but it would be a 3.5 stars out of 5.

SINCE promos are over i will in the coming days post a guide to PlayStation Portables (PSPs) since i consider myself an expert after browsing through countless articles on the web and gaining first hand experience. i will talk about what to do and stuff so if u are planning to get one (which is becoming a very popular product to purchase) it would be very good for you.

until then, have fun preparing for the PW Oral Presentation. DAMN.

and oh btw we got a new car! whoohoo. some big big toyota. i like. =D

OKAY end of promos. WHOOHOOOO. play play.

after promos PCB celebrated in the best possible way with the release of PARTY POOPERS in the canteen. lol. some girls got shocked until they scream. hahaha. damn loud lah. i like i like.

then came home to play bball near my house. that was when this entry's title happened. DesperadoZ met a spoiling-for-a-fight ah beng.

cb. i am quite pissed. okay now not that already. but just now was really pissed.

i was playing at one side of the court, then this guy who i play bball with quite occasionally asked me to get 5 pple on my side of the court to play a 5v5 full court match with the other side.

here's the deal. my side got me and a few Unity sec guys. sec 1 or 2 at most. the other side got my acquaintance and his friends. and my acquaintance, is a pai kia. more pai kia than shou yee (lol).

he plays bball with a cap on always. he is damn pro, but damn arrogant and has a cocky attitude. kinda typical pai kia lah. ANYWAYS we are on quite good terms lah. his friends, 1 of them is a guy in his 20s. tattoo all over. and got 3 others pai kia looking also lah. i mean this is the neighbourhood, what can u expect?

so we played lah.

this guy on the other team, he had kinda blonde hair. he was driving to the basket and got slammed by a fat guy on my team. he got quite pissed, and shouted "wah knn play until liddat ah?"

the guy say sry sry, but u could see this blonde hair's guy mood was spoilt.

and u see, this blonde hair guy knows me. rather, he has seen me play alot of times before. he knows im raffles and said "this raffles guy i mark".

okay lor. let him mark. i did a jump shot over him and scored.

he got quite pissed, kinda embarrassed. but didnt do anything.

then later my teammate shot and missed and the blonde haired guy got the ball and the whole court was open in front of him cause my whole team had pushed forward to attack >.< lol.

he started to chiong towards the basket. my teammates too tired to move lah so i just chionged back myself. as i tried to block the guy as he was making a layup, he faked me. damn. lol.

i recovered and jumped and hit the basketball board damn hard just as he was going up for the layup. this is some tactic i learnt from ray wen haha really throws ur opponent off.

true enough the guy missed and i jumped to get the rebound. my teammates who were STILL on the other side of the court were like WHOOHOO and cheering lah.

of course that made him even more pissed. -.- he said "xia lan". i have no idea wad that means lol. then he said "wah raffles u (some hokkien term) ah ?"

er i dunno wad he talking abt but probably cursing me lah. so i just dun care.

THEN he started his nonsense.

he walked around the court, shouting loudly, "that raffles only know how to dribble, fake and shoot nia"

true enough i did it. haha but missed oops then he was like "HAHA see i told u all hor"

inside i was like "wtf lah i dun even know him and he starts suanning me publicly". but just played on.

then i dribbled again, stopped, and pulled a 3 pointer.

he got even more buay song. guess what he did? he tried to COPY ME. LOL. he camped in our half and when he got the ball kept trying for a 3 pointer. of course none went in. stupid noob.

he continued his "raffles only know how to run then shoot" nonsense. i got quite pissed already lah. stole the ball then did a pass to myself off the board and alley ooped it in. take that, sucker.

it wasnt over. he AGAIN tried to copy me. OMG lol. i was like sniggering at him lah wad a stupid noob. he was throwing the ball at the board and either threw it too soft or it was intercepted. lame lah.

then he started to get physical. i was running all over, defending as well. he saw me and took the ball and charged at me. banged me abit then lay the ball in. it's not a foul lah. this kinda thing is normal in competitve basketball. but dude, it was totally unneccessary.

the 2nd time he got the ball and drove towards me again. he swung out an elbow as he did a lay up. wtf. i was getting quite pissed with his antics.

the 3rd time he got the ball, charged at me, then stopped. and he threw the ball at me. got back the ball, then tried to shoot. he missed but that's not the point. he was obviously trying to provoke me already. that was totally blatant. i mean u dun play bball and throw the ball at ur opponent. it wasnt very hard, thats why i didnt react. but i was really reaching boiling point. i was contemplating a confrontation.

then i started to dribble the ball from my half towards their half. he was standing at the half way line and as i dashed past he swung out a leg. wtf.

i was really damn pissed, but since he didnt contact i didnt do anything.

in the end the game ended. we lost i think haha. i went over to my teammates and was like "eh that blonde hair guy siao one". then they were like "yar lah kao pei so much dunno for what". another one said "eh he was aiming at u ah. keep saying u blah blah blah.."

i was like "yeah i know but dun care abt this kinda pple lah". then we left.

come to think of it, im really glad i managed to hold my temper. i guess i have matured from the hot tempered guy that i was a few years back. hahaha. or maybe im just humji. u see, DesperadoZ is not a guy who likes confrontations. seriously. i dun do this kinda shit.

but what should i have really done? shld i have confronted him? or just simply get physical with him? i mean seriously, if i wanted to, i would have owned him flat. really. sigh.

but i didnt act on impulse. if i did i would probably be in hospital right now? dunno lah.

but i think it's not wise to pick a fight when there arent any friends around and the guy u are picking a fight with is a pai kia. in the neighbourhood basketball court somemore.

dunno lah. DUN CARE.

TMR is outdoor buffet! WHOOHOOO kayaking, night cycling, abseiling, rock climbing, etc. fun fun fun. looking forward to it.

Staffers at Steve Irwin's park in shock after Crocodile Hunter dies

They call Australia Zoo the house that Steve Irwin built. On Monday, it lost its star attraction.

Hundreds of employees, many wiping tears from their eyes as they drove past the zoo exit on their way home from work, were saddened by the news that their employer, 44-year-old Irwin, died after being stung by a stingray barb in a diving accident about 2,000 kilometers (1,200 miles) north off Port Douglas on the Great Barrier Reef.

"We're all pretty shocked by this mate, just bear with us," a security guard who did not want to be named said as he attempted to separate zoo-goers from dozens of media that descended on the site about 70 kilometers (45 miles) north of the state capital Brisbane.

Within hours, small satellite transmission centers were set up near the highway that runs in front of the zoo as TV networks broadcast news from the site.

Towering over the satellite dishes and TV trucks was a large billboard of Steve Irwin wrestling a crocodile, his head extending over the top of the board, and his famous catchword "Crikey" emblazoned across the oversized poster.

Residents, many of whom had grown up with Irwin and his family and watched the zoo grow from a small crocodile farm in the early 1970s started by Steve's father Bob, to a 360-employee theme park known around the world, stopped by with increasing regularity throughout the afternoon.

"Steve, from all God's creatures thank you. Rest in peace," one person wrote on a card attached to a bouquet of native Australian flowers.

A card, obviously written by a child, said: "To the Crocodile Hunter. We will miss you. Becky and Ryan Middleton." It signed off with "XX, OO" - kisses and hugs.

Dozens of cars and trucks honked their horns in tribute as they drove down the highway.

A woman and her two young daughters crossed the road just before nightfall, the youngest girl with tears streaming down her face and clutching three or four crayoned cartoons she had just completed of the Crocodile Hunter.

Paula Kelly, originally from England, is a volunteer at the zoo, originally known as the Queensland Reptile and Fauna Park.

"We're all very shocked. I don't know what the zoo will do without him," said Kelly. "He's done so much for us, the environment and it's a big loss."

Alex Bauer, 25, of Cologne, Germany, visited the zoo Monday but was unaware that Irwin had died until he'd left the grounds.

"There was no indication from inside that anything had happened. We saw a lot of helicopters flying overhead, but we didn't know anything until we hit the gates."

While the zoo, which features over 1,000 animals on nearly 25 hectares (60 acres) of natural bushland, was the Irwin family's pride and joy, it was also the scene of one of Steve Irwin's biggest publicity blunders.

Two years ago, Irwin held his 1-month-old son, Bob, in one arm while feeding large crocodiles inside a zoo pen. Irwin said at the time there was no danger to his son and in later interviews, laughed off the incident.

His American wife, Terri Irwin, daughter Bindi Sue, 8, and Bob, who will turn 3 in December, are expected to return to their home near Australia Zoo after Irwin's body is returned from Cairns in northern Queensland in the next several days.

sunday afternoon. went cineleisure for a free movie. The Break Up. cause it was my dad's Police Family Day. lmao. free buffet lunch as well. the break up is a nice movie. ratings!

The Break Up starring Jennifer Aniston, Chris Vaughn.

The Good: Funny, entertaining dialogue. Things that happen may be relatable to what's happening between ur parents. Chance to see Jennifer Aniston butt naked. hot mama.

The Bad: Ending makes u go "huh? just like that?". Doesnt really give you the satisfying feeling that u get after watching Click.

Overall rating: 3.5/5

last week was hilarious. all the judges except for the looney one with big boobs (or fat?) bombed joakim. damn funny. dick lee was being a dick, but i like! i cant believe he actually said he wanted to tell joakim to shhhhhhhh. COOL MAN.

then ah lian was even more direct, asking his fans to "allow him a dignified exit from the competition". BUT I BEG TO DIFFER. more details later on, so read on. hehheh.

ken lim is THE man. i dunno whether the few seconds of silence from the audience can technically sound better than joakim, but who cares that remark just HIT THE SPOT. hahahahaha i tell u joakim was ready to cry.

results show it was down to joakim gomez and nurul maidin. i had a feeling nurul was going to be out since last week. u can hear the audience's response whenever her name's called and u know it's simply not as loud as the rest. then inside i was secretly cheering joakim gomez on. whoooohoooo.

WHY the sudden change, DesperadoZ? after all DesperadoZ is known to be a outright critic of joakim's singing (or lack of). everyone says DesperadoZ sings better and joakim and, gee, it's actually kinda easy to just hold a tune, u know.

hell i pity joakim's classmates when he was in school, they probably had to put up with a tuneless and flat rendition of Majulah Singapura every morning during flag raising.

and the fact that he caused the pro fat ass (she actually lost weight as the competition got on, but stigmas usually follow u :D) Mathilda to exit from the competition simply didnt help increase his popularity with me.

yet i have changed my mind. yes, i am pleading for everyone of u to VOTE for joakim gomez. please. when Nurul got eliminated instead of joakim i was like YES YES YES. u know why?

cause MORE entertainment and fun next week! another extra reason to look forward to singapore idol every week.

more singing (now it's 2 songs a week), more judges comments (suanning him), more hilarious moments (especially from ken lim), more entertainment! hurrhurr.

SO VOTE FOR JOAKIM GOMEZ. i tell u the poor fella will kena suanned every week till he himself has no will to carry on in the competition. he'll be like going back every week just to get suanned again by the judges, who are obviously intent on getting him out of the competition.

i honestly didnt like the way Daniel Ong questioned nurul's sister after nurul's exit from the competition. like seriously his questions were damn wtf. like "who do u think shld have been eliminated instead of nurul?" IM SURE u ask such questions. lucky her sister was diplomatic enough to say "no comments", but DANIEL ONG KEPT PRESSING ON. wtf. whack him lah ccb. wtf was he trying to do man. seriously.

ANYWAY. vote for joakim gomez. the poor dude, as i've said, is gonna get suanned so badly every week till he pleads his fans to not vote so he can get out and save some face. but NO SUCH THING just continue voting! lol. show ur love (or immense disgust) for Joakim Gomez! vote him vote him. till he has to drag himself to the show every week, just to get panned by the judges, AGAIN! hahahahahahahaha then it'll be more laughter and fun for everyone of us watching at home every week. whoohoo.

ehh sorry i realised i haven't been updating.

SORRY ah very very busy with work. today didnt go school cause got fever. like wtf. im sure i keep getting fever. this is crazy. it's like the 3rd or 4th time i've got a fever THIS YEAR. ouch more than any other years. crazy.

BY THE WAY. i was browsing through the ri asknlearn portal. bad news. they changed interface now i cant access the personal directory. hence cannot change songs! lol.

i also went to visit the forums page and to my surprise the posts from last year were all still there. AND I FOUND THIS HISTORIC POST that i had written and spammed across the forums of all subjects. lol. it was about the school deciding not to renew greg goh's contract. enjoy. wah memories memories!

I am very sad that a great teacher has left our school. This is a milestone in the history of the Mathematics Department of Raffles Institution because no other teacher can connect to students the way Mr Goh can. He is friendly and never fails to laugh along at our jokes. He is also a good mentor and always tries his best to explain maths topics in the easiest and simplest way possible. Of course, he is able to be strict when he wants to. In this way, majority, if not all, of the students who know him have the upmost respect for him, not only for his good social skills but also for his athletical prowess.

Outside curriculum time, he is, of course, very much active. Who can ever forget the hours he spends playing soccer with us, the students? They are not many teachers who can strike such close a bond between students and teachers. Mr Gregory Goh is one of the few who can.

He is also, of course, the teacher-in-charge of track and field. I have always seen him full of smiles as he guides the trackers along during their training and helps them in any way he can. He has even gave me some advice in running when i asked for it. That I will never forget for the rest of my life.

I remember fondly once, an incident which happened just this year. It was a few days before the maths common test and I saw him sitting at the canteen, at around 7.30+ p.m. helping out my friend Jerik in some maths exercises and teaching him how to solve the problems in the revision exercises. That greatly impressed me. Not only was it so late at night, Mr Goh had agreed to help him out after an afternoon of training. I remembered I had a few maths problems to ask, so I took out my exercise worksheet and asked for help. He obliged. It definitely helped me out alot in my understanding of the topic. By the time i left school, it was almost 8pm. He was still there scribbling workings on foolscap.

Now that he has left, I cannot help but feel sad as I reflect on all his contributions to the school. He has changed the life of us students, there is no doubt about that. I will not question the school's decision, but I deeply feel that this is a great loss for us.

TUESDAY. morning, prometheum day ceremony LOL i got my jc2 ccal into BIG trouble cause i forgot to tell him to bring a tie. then he had to run around school looking for one. OOPS. ran until damn jialat then in the end come back to LT2 a counsellor was waiting for him with a spare tie LOL.

the ceremony was damn funny lah. my j2 ccal passed me MY psp. lol jokes. shenglin said they couldnt really see what it was from the parade square anyways.

after the celebrations PCB supposed to go down to bukit batok for bowling at my recommendation (it's only $1.50 a game on weekdays) but ALAS the plan failed and they decided to go town.

went home at around noon. bathed and did some homework for awhile and it was time to set off for yio chu kang AGAIN. for kuan fu's bday party. cb my dad had VIP sector tickets for NDP and wanted me to go but i turned him down just for YEE KUAN FU. damn nice lah. the tickets going for >$500 outside u know.

holy shit. i was lazing around this morning having breakfast and watching new york yankees win their baseball match. then i switched to channel 22 and it was women's golf and HOLY SHIT i saw this damn hot chick golfer.

her name's natalie gulbis.

okok desperadoz has decided to go retro. i shall be playing songs from ages ago just to relieve the memories of nice ones.

ANYWAYS. interhouse championships, part 2. yesterday was interhouse soccer. remember it was postponed because of rain last week.

SO. keefe went to play, in search of that elusive interhouse soccer goal that he has never scored before. first match against morrison-richardson. we drew! 1-1. i didnt score. lol. hashir scored for us from like midfield. the joker MR keeper let the ball bounce over him. how freaking noob. lol.

2nd and final match. against moor-tarbet! i didnt play in the first half, supposed to go in the 2nd half. after the first half it was 1-1 wtf. then i went in for the 2nd half. with a few minutes left cun zhi lobbed the ball out from defence towards a dashing me (read:sprinting). i controlled the ball and attempted a volley at goal with a keeper to beat................

it was a lousy contact. i hit the top part of the ball and it started ROLLING towards the goal instead of FLYING in. damn it. i was like shit la wasted..until i saw the keeper struggling to get to the ball which was heading for the bottom left corner.

and it evaded his outstretched hands to give me a GOAL. lol. match winner keefe once again hahahahahaha. 2-1 we won. jokes liddat also can.

okay okay here is desperadoz.blogspot.com's LONG OVERDUE update on the IHC.

just came back from track & field meet. super happy lah. but let's start from monday.

MONDAY. interhouse basketball. me, steward, yi qin, aston, avery, teck ming. first match we lost to buckley. we won hullett next.

lol i actually scored the winning basket to make it 18-16 but i didnt know until after the match when everyone was like wahhh game winner sia haha. wah i thought we were leading by alot lor so i made the shot. if i knew we were tied i would have been damn pressured. lol.

moor was next. me and steward didnt play cause we said we'll come in during 2nd half. when it was half time we were actually LEADING the DEFENDING CHAMPS 18-10. so of course me and goon decided not to go in. why tinker with a winning formation? but angry moor threw in Ray Wen and Jerik in the 2nd half and it was ggxx. they rallied back to win it. damn it.

last match was against morrison. we won. so in the end win 2 lose 2, clinched 4th position overall.

TUESDAY. nothing. they wanted me to go for tennis but after the basketball matches on monday my ankle was hurting like crap and i decided to rest and spend my time in my home turf - in comb lab 7 cybergaming. lol.

WEDNESDAY. frisbee! PCB were widely anticipated to clinch gold. i went down, but didnt play for more than 5mins. expected the rest of the more experienced PCB to finish the job but ALAS! we lost 2 and won 2 to finish a meagre 4th. very disappointed.

THURSDAY. soccer! supposed to go for volleyball but sean zhong called me wednesday night and asked me to go down for soccer so okay. first match was against buckle buckley. barely a minute passed when my diving header was saved at point blank range by the buckley goalie. DAMN. drew 1-1 in the end.

next match was against hullett. crazy. lost 3-1.

then it started raining. so soccer was postponed in the end, till next thursday.

FRIDAY. WHICH IS TODAY. track and field! whooohoooo. went down at 3.10pm. was feeling quite sleepy lah wtf haha AND my ankle was STILL not 100%. started to warm up and everything. after all 100m was scheduled to be at 3.30pm. then 3.26pm IT STARTED RAINING damn heavily. wtf.

had to wait. totally cooled down and became damn stoned. haha. they set the time at 4pm. and sure enough by 3.50 it started clearing up. mark tang said his thigh was dead already and went off. lol. dunno where he disappeared to but he got IAN VANDERPUT to take his place.

good thinking on morrison-richardson's part, but bad for everyone of us. u will know why later.

the races were straight finals. meaning everyone runs ONCE only, and they compile all the timings and the 3 fastest get the medals. haha.

my finals was with IAN VANDERPUT, kuan fu, aik kwan, and 2 other guys. i finished 4th la damn it all the others so fast cb. haha. i think overall im like 5th if im lucky, but probably 6th or 7th. IAN VANDERPUT was 11.3 secs CRAZY ASS.

then straight after that was 400m. hell i didnt even sign up but yejie said bayley short of runners so OKAY for the sake of my beloved house i decided to go run. the worst part about running 400m is u can see everyone chionging ahead in front of u and u are damn pressured to chiong after them.

the race started and after 100m 4 people were already like ahead and im like SHIT but i had to keep disciplined and stayed at my own pace.

bong chionged all the way till the 300m mark then he lost steam. lol. when i turned to the last 100m there were 3 guys in front of me. cb i started sprinting. then i heard someone (a girl's voice, lol) from the stands shout "GO KEEFE" and i pushed even more. overtook 2 other guys and just finished behind stuart. whoohooo damn happy lah. 1.01mins. last year i ran 1.07 so it was a very good improvement.

some came to congratulate me on a good finish to the race and yeah i kinda liked it very much myself. haha. ok hell i liked it alot.

after that felt damn crap. my chest was damn pain lah then upper stomach also. felt abit like vomiting and abit like gastric pain. dunno la. rested lor was about to sign up for 200m also LOL. i think if i went i probably would have collapsed.

GOON finished 2nd overall for 200m! whoohoo. guess who got first lah cb IAN VANDERDRUGS. i am SURE he ran 100m, 400m and 200m CONSECUTIVELY with hardly any rest in between and finished 1st for ALL. wtf.

4x100m i ran again. me, steward, some indian guy, and avery. finished 4th. quite sucky.

then came the last part. INTER CCA 4x100m relay! LOL. supposed to have softball own everyone's ass or at least put up a good fight but mark tang was NOWHERE IN SIGHT, kuanfu said no cause he just ran 4x400m and was too tired, and shou yee said no cause he very slow in 100m.

so it's like WTF left me. then i spotted steward and aik kwan. they said they wanted to run and were finding 2 more. so i asked them to join me lah and we run under RAFFLES CYBERGAMINGS. after all im the chairman so if i say allow, means allow. hahahahaha.

then heard from someone that WONG LI said he really wanted to run as well so OKAY gogogogo aik kwan went and called him over to join us. haha he agreed so SET gogogo.

when the person announced on the loudhailer the CCAs involved in intercca 4x100m everyone went hysterical after hearing "RAFFLES CYBERGAMINGS" as one of the CCAs after a list of "rugby team 1, soccer, canoeing, track, hockey, etc".

hahahaha. one of the trackers said it sounds funny that a bunch of computer gamers are actually running. and alot others were like laughing and saying "GO CYBERGAMINGS"

i was first runner, wong li ran 2nd, aik kwan ran 3rd and steward ran last.

we ended up pwning all and finishing first in our finals LOL damn satisfying. got 3rd overall behind track and rugby team 1. haha a medal for me!

lol damn fun lah. the joke's that cybergaming guys were so damn fast cause we had boots of travel and picked up a haste rune. ahahaha JOKES.

my thighs are hurting like crap now. i figure it will only get worse tmr. but im damn happy lah. today's one of the best days of my rjc life even though i only brought home 1 bronze medal.

sprained ankle

eh sian. i sprained my ankle just now wtf.

TODAY IS FRIDAY. friday=PCB sportsday of the week.

every friday, PCB gets together and has fun, bball, soccer, frisbee, u name it, we got it (thanks to yejie who can get everything from council room LOL)

we met at canteen and already started anyhow-ing. steward burst a ribena packet that he blew up and it exploded DAMN FREAKING LOUDLY and the sound resonated through the whole canteen lol. everyone turned around to look. hahahahaha. crazy.

so PCB went to play soccer at the semi-D. damn fun. then i sprained my ankle. smart. my dad couldn't come and fetch me home cause he was working. so i had to go home by myself. BY TRAIN.

i was supposed to rest my ankle and ice it. lol but after a while i thought i could move and walk so i decided to just walk home. ice wasn't available anyway.

walked the whole stretch from rjc to bishan mrt. lol crazy. "limped" is a better word. whoohooo.

sunday, which is 2 days from now, i have a men's league softball match. national men's league is what s-league is to soccer in singapore and epl is to soccer in england. it's basically a softball LEAGUE and we are a TEAM in it. cool.

probably like chelsea. heh heh heh. ownage.

THEN next week is interhouse sports carnival. like wtf i've been training for 100m leh. then sprain ankle. just today during PE i clocked two 12.6 sec timings in a row. cb lah 12.6 cannot win, but maybe got medal chance. it's quite open.

eh sry i was supposed to update on friday but i was very busy. so here's the post gogogogo.

SATURDAY. viva world cup! whooohooo. from 8am-4pm, for 8 hours, i earned CIP hours just like that -- sitting there playing winning eleven and fifa world cup 2006 on the ps2.

YES it was that easy. +manning the stall lah. and asking for donations. but it was mainly just sit there and play and have fun and earn CIP hours. whoohooo i like.

after that went to andreu's house for a gathering. played tennis. j1 vs j2 tennis! we had doubles and singles matchups. me and yi rui teamed up and WON dao zhe and justin. YEAH. kuan fu lost though and kumarga lost also for their singles matches so i think overall we lost nooooooo=(

dinner was great too and we all had a wonderful time. haha went up to andreu's house to play ps2. was there with yr, daniel and chongzhi. then michelle and dawn, j2s from touch rugby were in andreu's room and andreu forced me and yi rui to play cards with them.

we played some card game called SWAP! and had a very................... er. unforgettable experience. lol.

SUNDAY! class CIP. we sold flags for the Straits Times Pocket Money Fund. it was really damn cool. my first time selling flags and i'd always wanted to sell flags. after this experience i still wanna sell more! whooohoooo damn fun leh.

we were allowed to go anywhere so me, shenglin, benny, hashir, james, yi yuan and ningrui went bugis. shenglin, benny and i then proceeded to some guan yin temple in bugis cause shenglin said that was the best place to get donations. LOL.

the experience was really nice. i stood there, in the hot sun, just smiling and asking politely for donations. actually this kinda thing is either they want to or not. cannot keep asking, like some pple i've seen in mrt stations doing. some ask till like their begging for donations. wtf. if someone doesn't wanna donate, they DON'T. some look unsure if they wanna donate or not, then MUST ASK u will make up their mind for them haha.

i saw alot of sides of singaporeans yesterday. some were rude pple and some were really generous. the worst experience was when i asked some if they would like to donate and they just walk past as if u were talking to the wall. like WTF. seriously feel like whacking them up.

i mean if u don't wanna donate, the least u can do is smile and say 'no' or just simply smile and walk away. but some walk past as if they didn't see u at all. wtf lah really ass leh.

there were really generous pple though. i myself have never donated more than $1 to such pple selling flags, but some really generous one just slipped $2 or even $5 notes. the most unforgettable one was an encounter with a young mum with her son.

son: okay sure! (takes out $5 note from pocket and moves forward to put the money into my donation bag)

LOL. it can be BEST DESCRIBED AS "WTF". SERIOUSLY. (need to scroll down till u find pictures)

ANYWAYS. back to mr brown. this guy's column in Today got suspended. he's well known for his political satires so obviously one of the responses would be the uneducated response and it would be along the lines of "there, there, there! knn see the gahmen trying to silence him, so ban his column".

well then u are most probably just a blind opposition supporter. cause a pro-PAP or even neutral (and normal, not to mention educated response) would be "o.O what did he do (wrong)?", instead of immediately jumping into conclusions, bitches.

of course we have to look at both sides of the story, so i surfed mrbrown.com yesterday (+ downloaded alot of podcasts. funny. LOL) and read quite a number of his articles. i think his humour is slightly better than rockson's. lol.

it doesn't take one much to realise that. unless of course u're just another uneducated piece of shit, as mentioned above. if u read the article just like any other GP/english comprehension passage, one that would probably have "What is the author's tone throughout the article?" as one of its 2 mark questions, u SHOULD detect the dark, sarcastic, even provocative tone of his. this is rather unlike him, i must stress again.

what's gone wrong with him? did he finally realise that he was writing an article for a national newspaper hence he decided to take matters into his own hands and sway from his usual satricial, humorous, yet not-over-the-line writing style? maybe we'll never know.

anyway, here's the much criticised letter from MICA (Ministry of Information, Communications and the Arts). again, i do not see anything wrong with what K Bhavani has tried to put across. some of those who criticised her letter probably didn't even read much of it -.- in bold is what i thought was really true and i agreed upon totally.

There was no reason to suppress the information. It confirmed what we had told Singaporeans all along, that globalisation would stretch out incomes.

mr brown must also know that price increases in electricity tariffs and taxi fares are the inevitable result of higher oil prices.

These were precisely the reasons for the Progress Package — to help lower income Singaporeans cope with higher costs of living.

Our IT plans are critical to Singapore's competitive position and will improve the job chances of individual Singaporeans. It is wrong of mr brown to make light of them.

As for means testing for special school fees, we understand mr brown's disappointment as the father of an autistic child. However, with means testing, we can devote more resources to families who need more help. (//side note, just like bursaries are for poorer ones right? common sense-.-)

mr brown's views on all these issues distort the truth (/side note, this is contestable since we dun really know what's the actual truth) .They are polemics dressed up as analysis, blaming the Government for all that he is unhappy with. He offers no alternatives or solutions. His piece is calculated to encourage cynicism and despondency, which can only make things worse, not better, for those he professes to sympathise with. (//I TOTALLY 100% AGREE WITH THE 2 STATEMENTS. U wanna criticise, then bloody hell give solutions or suggestions on how to tackle the problem.)

mr brown is entitled to his views. But opinions which are widely circulated in a regular column in a serious newspaper should meet higher standards. Instead of a diatribe mr brown should offer constructive criticism and alternatives. And he should come out from behind his pseudonym to defend his views openly. (//what more can i say? spot-on.)

It is not the role of journalists or newspapers in Singapore to champion issues, or campaign for or against the Government. If a columnist presents himself as a non-political observer, while exploiting his access to the mass media (//this was EXACTLY what i had suggested earlier) to undermine the Government's standing with the electorate, then he is no longer a constructive critic, but a partisan player in politics.

i am feeling quite annoyed now. if u all remembered, the Viva World Cup committee called me up and asked Cybergamings club to set up a Fifa World Cup 2006 gaming stall during the Viva World Cup festival, which is gonna be held next next Saturday, 15 July, from 9am onwards, at RJC.

i thought that my blog probably gets more hits a day than the Viva World Cup website (LOL!) so i decided that i should publicise it abit on my blog, after all we are gonna play a part as well.

i forgot the website address, so i decided to do a search on Google by typing the words "Viva World Cup RJC". smart me.

the first website that turned up in the search was some guy's blog, and he was actually talking abt it. i think he has a team which is gonna participate in the soccer competition or sth, but that's not the point. i saw something that made my blood boil. here's a screenshot.

wtf? the word CHINA in caps and bold somemore, as if there's something wrong with China scholars organising it? wtf? the organizer spoke to me and he's a really nice guy. so i dun see anything wrong. wtf. trying to start a war here issit. he has a poor excuse for a face, to begin with.

a stub in the back, smokers

whooohooo. the ban of smoking in public places has officially gone underway since July 1st at hawker centres, coffeeshops, cafes and fast-food outlets.

Anyone caught flouting the rule will be slapped with a S$200 fine for the first offence and there will be no buts about it. (jokes, nice try)

7,400 food outlets in Singapore will be affected by the smoking ban, which takes effect on Saturday the 1st of July. Under new regulations, smokers are not allowed to light up in 3,500 eateries which have no outdoor refreshment areas.

As for the 3,900 outlets that have outdoor seating, 1,900 will be going smoke-free. For example, Newton Food Centre, a popular tourist spot and one of Singapore's favourite hawker centres will reopen on 1st July after renovations, the same day the new smoking ban comes into effect, and it will be a smoke-free zone.

yeah man ok i'll be patronizing Newton Food Centre more often now haha.

well if u dear readers never knew, now u know; keefe hates smokers, and hate isn't even close to describing the feeling. my grandparents used to smoke, and whenever i saw them i urged them to quit while trying to describe the dire consequences that may arise if they didn't.

not like they can really understand the terms, so i just say if u continue to smoke u are gonna die. and i continued pushing the message across for quite a bit of time.

it actually works u know. persistence pays off and my grandparents really did quit smoking. haha probably also cause they really like me and if u're beloved grandson keeps shouting death threats at u everytime u see him, u'll probably quit as well haha.

the point is, keefe hates smokers, but he leaves them alone. if they relac one corner and waste their lives away, i don't give a shit abt them. but inconsiderate guys who blow smoke into pple's faces, that just pisses me off.

like when im walking down the street and there's a guy walking in front of me. then suddenly POOF magical white smoke rushes at my face but i didn't rub no lamp man (good try, keefe).

then wtf it stinks. i try to get it out of my nose by blowing out vigorously but some has already gotten it. i walk forward and tap the guy on the shoulder, he turns around and says "simi taiji?" (what's the problem?)

i point at his cigarette butt and say "this is the taiji" and proceeds to slap him across the face. then i take the cigarette butt and shoved it up his nostrils.

he lies on the floor, breathless, apologising profusely to me as i walk away, feeling cool and invincible.

nah just joking. the guy shouted "kan ni nah, chiong ah" and suddenly i found myself surrounded by big, muscular tattooed men who looked like they beat people up for a living.

whooohoooo. end of common tests yesterday. and what was the first thing i did? have a McDonald's Pepper Drumlets Meal lunch.

i keep seeing it in advertisements everywhere, publicising it as THE world cup meal. wtf. so i decided to give it a try. it was probably my last.

wtf. FIRSTLY it cost $6.85. for FOUR pieces of pepper drumlets, twister fries and green tea.

secondly, WHAT does the "let" in "drumlet" mean? YES. just as "pigLET" means "small pig", "drumLET" means "small drumstick".

cb. their drumLET really damn small. wtf. 4 pieces of small chicken, which don't even taste special. everyone knows KFC is THE authority in chickens besides geylang, if u know what i mean.

thirdly, the drumlets were FREAKING OILY. wtf. the drumlet skin was damn thick. i peeled it off and underneath it was a layer of white fat. WTF. and once u peel the skin off u are practically left with half the drumlet, so u are kinda supposed to eat everything.

and THAT means fat, fat and fat. now we know what Ronaldo's favourite meal is.

FOURTLY, the twister fries. wtf i used to really like twister fries. but now they have got too salty to be devoured. YUCKS. damn freaking salty, and some were burnt. (read: BLACK in colour)

the only good thing was the green tea.

okay it's common tests period but today i got no paper haha so it's slack time.

i STILL haven't touched maths, and maths paper is tmr. but bio paper on friday is kinda settled already.

new song, it's called Chen Mo Wan Ju which means "lonely toy". watch the 2nd part of the song, Cao Ge gets angry and shows his vocals once again. lol.

econs was quite okay i think. lol for paper 2, i chose question 2 which had part (a) and part (b). kuan fu was telling me after the paper that he wrote 2 pages for part a (10marks) and 1 page for part b (15marks).

i told him i wrote 1 page for both.

anyway chem was actually easy. i thought it was quite easy but i guess i shld have let it just remain a thought cause after i said it out loud the only thing i received was a black eye.

damn. section c was easiest leh. but for section A the first 2 multiple choice questions on Stoichiometry just simply demoralized me. lol.

i guessed the answer for both questions and I ACTUALLY GOT THEM RIGHT lol. guess as in seriously pick one that looks the most correct wahahahaha.

okay today was quite a fun day.

got yi rui to come to my house to study today. for lunch i cooked delicious Myojo Curry Chicken Noodles for him. with egg. yummy. then got alot of other stuff too. damn im a good host. haha.

studied econs today, think it was quite fruitful. left the topic on Firms and How They Operate, which i will go read on later, sleep for 2hrs, and wake up to support south korea. haha.

yi rui was studying chem and bloody hell his teacher gave him loads of stuff. past 4 years' common tests questions + answers? wtf? and loads of other questions. wtf is my teacher dreaming? cb.

i borrowed the stuff from yi rui anyway, which made it all the more fruitful. studied till 4plus then we both went to play bball.

joker yi rui play until so docile hahahaha. think cause he playing with strangers then dun dare to get too physical. anyhow. totally different when he's playing with us softballers.

FACT OF THE DAY #1 tan yi rui was primary school basketball team. FACT OF THE DAY #2 keefe tan was primary school basketball team too. all star point guard. hahaha.

quite fun leh. basketball's always fun. especially when u make tough shots and game winning shots. heh heh heh heh xD

AHHHHHHHHHH sick.

okay last night was one of the best on this holidays. haha. called the softballers to stay over since everyone in my family went batam. heh heh.

james, yi rui, mark and chong zhi. they came at 9 plus and i met them at cck mrt then we went for dinner at the foodcourt. came back and watched world cup on my 45 inch plasma HDTV. right. while some played dota and cs. hahahahaha. fun fun.

played till like 3am then went to sleep. they all slept outside on the sofa while i slept in my parents' room! heh heh heh biigggggggggg bed.

last night i was on msn and my nick was abt the current pro Cao Ge song on my blog. then suddenly Ben Koh gave me a link on YouTube and told me "THIS is pro". i watched and it was Cao Ge singing live on some variety show and ITS DAMN FREAKING GOOD. nothing beats watching him sing live.

he sings with alot of emotion, the stars in the audience were stunned and touched. i myself was also quite touched leh. very very good. i spent the whole night watching his live videos on YouTube. i didnt know got so many! here are a select few of the best. WATCH AND ENJOY PLS.

im alone at home! whooooooohooooooooooooo the rest of my family went batam. i said straight out no not going cause i had a match today. see choose softball over family. hahaha.

played against catalyst today. found out it's some even pro-er than combined schools team. made up of national team players. LOL. wtf. all the 20+ to 30+ pros. it wasn't pure luck that they beat combined schools.

i pitched quite okay actually. got the strikes in. but they hit well lah. cannot be helped one. haha. pros. then the umpire also not helping me. bloody hell so many nice inside curves and outside curves he never call strike. sianz.

then our fielding let us down lah. sianz also. alot of errors from infield, or the score would have been closer. we lost 13-4 i think. it could have easily been 5-4 if not for the errors.

i actually struck out 1 pro. LOL. i pitched an outside curve and he missed it. heh heh heh. fun.

anyways. now it's back to mugging time! ahhhhh haven't touched econs and maths yet. ggxx.

ok today is damn screwed up. at least the events that just unfolded.

this morning was the start of our NUS open, it was quite cool. first match against combined schools. i pitched, even though i quitted pitching and havent trained for damn freaking long. it was quite good actually we lost 6-5 only and everyone was damn happy.

it's considered quite a feat cause our team were all j1s and some sec 4s. the whole j2 batch (the championship winning zai team) were in combined schools. and wtf. not all j1s we with us, kuanghao our star pitcher and farhan our star first base both got poached by combined schools too.

so the odds were really stacked against us. it was like literally a under-depleted RJC J1 (and below) team vs national youth team. damn.

straight after that was Ngee Ann poly. decided to rest me and put in a sec 3 pitcher instead. yes the only pitchers we have for the tournament are a sec 3 one and a very rusty J1.

we won easily i guess. 12-3 or sth liddat.

last match for the day was against acs alumni, i pitched. 4 strikeouts, not bad for almost 1 year layoff from pitching i guess. my curveball worked well. happy. won the game 10-4.

tmr got last group game. we must win to be able to have any chance of qualifying for the next round, good luck.

after the match was what was really screwed up and what really did me in. it was 8+ already and we were changing up in the toilet. i was calling home on my hp cause i got alot of missed calls from home.

when i changed i decided to leave my hp beside my plastic bag of clothes. after i changed it was gone. i didnt notice it until i was about to leave, when i did my routine check for all my belongings.

i quickly asked daniel to call my hp. it was off. and i was like wtf shit die already.

i sprinted back down to the toilet and found some guy inside. i asked him if he saw a hp and he suspiciously answered 'no no'. his face was damn suspicious but i couldn't do anything what. bloody hell.

i went up told kuanfu and he was like 'of course he will say no right! go search him'. and he told me he saw 2 other pple loitering outside the toilet just now.

then i was like im sure i go search him he sure whack me up. i saw him walking off towards a bus stop beside NUS. so i got farish, daniel and james to follow me to the bus stop to ask them.

we saw 3 of them at the bus stop so james asked them if they saw a hp and they said no. the guy i questioned in the toilet was acting freaking suspicious. even suggested "i saw a guy go into the toilet after me.. he went in that direction" and pointed to the direction opposite us.

IM SURE LOR. seriously. he was the last guy at the toilet cause after i questioned him i observed his actions from afar. bloody hell.

but i really dunno wad to do. as in i didnt dare to go up and ask to search them. im seriously a non violent and non confrontational guy. wtf lah in the end the 4 of us no choice but to walk off.

cb. so the 3 of them walked to wait for 95 while i decided to go back to the toilet to do 1 last check. nothing. i walked back out and saw the bus come and leave.

wtf. seemed like nothing was going right at all. i spent almost 20minutes at the bus stop waiting for the next bus and it really felt like forever. just stared into space and did nothing but think abt my hp. ended up feeling 95% fcuked up.

came back home finally. told my mum i lost my hp. that's when everything started.

got screwed like crazy. non stop ranting. had to recount my painful story of how i lost my hp, and just simply no understanding from my mum at all.

scold scold scold. spam 'idiot' at me like dunno how many times. until i got damn freaking pissed off i screamed at her to stop scolding me.

she walked right up to me, scolding, and tried to hit me. i blocked. fight lor. brokedown in the end anyway. mental breakdown lah. seriously had enough of everything.

then still had to endure dinner. sit there alone quietly. cant even eat lah. got damn suicidal. then thought of all my friends and started breaking down again. wtf i dun usually cry.

thought of alot of things i could have done. called daniel and yi rui but couldn't talk more than a 'hello'.

then it wore off me after a while and i got abit more sensible.

i was forced to wash my own super dirty softball clothes anyway.

now im here blogging.

daniel says not to think too much abt it. good night pple, good luck for my match tmr i'll be pitching for a must win match. shit lah it will be damn pressurizing and i hope i'll be able to cause i really want us to get through.

hello im back again. morning now and i have till abt noon at the hotel, which incidentally has free internet! o.O

not to mention a flat screen Aquos LCD TV, which i used to watch japan lose to australia 3-1 last night. aww. lucky i dun look angmoh or i would have been bashed up by the hotel room staff this morning.

flying back tonight and i cant wait. will reach singapore at 11.35pm, so reach home 1am plus? then watch France vs Switzerland followed by Brazil vs Croatia at 3am? lol. then next day go for class outing at sentosa, meet 10.30am at harbourfront mrt? happening life sia wahahaha.

went to disneyland yesterday and come on, how can u compare it with Orlando's disneyland? no way. lol Orlando's one had 3 theme parks leh. plus the rides were much more exciting. the disneyland here only had 2 thrilling rides. and not even thrilling, i think genting's corkscrew and solero space shot more exciting than them, anytime.

damn that made me miss the days even more, when the whole gang of us: lewis, yi rui, me, yao zhen, kenneth hor roamed disneyland and universal studios last december.

crap man, travelling with friends is definitely more fun than travelling with family=(
i miss going there already. i think end of year lets organise a trip back to Orlando! whooohoo. make it some softball trip. or just get the same gang from last year. fun.

on the other hand, there were loads of japanese hot chicks at disneyland. hot chicks don't mean the Katsu Don, stupid (which is actually quite delicious)

finally. although all had eyeliner (as i had clearly observed was the japanese's favourite kind of makeup) and some put so much face powder they looked like Sadako out of The Ring, and some put so much blusher that their cheeks were redder than Pikachu, they were generally alright.

i still don't get their fetish with long socks though. damn.

overall it was okay, i tried Soda Popcorn and Chocolate Popcorn. freaking nice, i tell you, must try when u're there. the scent was enough to make us buy although it cost 260yen, which works out to like $4.

talking abt buying stuff, i saw a Hard Gay keychain. it was quite cute and i thought of buying it but it cost close to SGD$10+. decided not to, then someone told me it was selling for $30+ in singapore. WTF NEVER TELL ME EARLIER. shit. i have a few hours more to see if i can get my hands on any. hehhehheh. $$$$$$$$$.

okay thats all lah. oh yar before i left for japan i aksed the softballers during training what i should buy in japan and shou yee said "jap porn is the best".

well it would be paradise for u here, shoustopper, cause the streets are lined with loads of magazine shops. and they don't sell National Geographic.

wtf the whole shop has loads of hentai magazines and FHM-esque ones. loads of them. i say they are like FHM cause they have scantily clad chio bu on the cover of each magazine but who knows what lies inside. Good Boy Keefe Tan obviously did not open the magazines to take a peek.

talking abt porn they have porn on their tv in all hotel rooms. Innocent Boy Keefe Tan didn't understand why they liked to make wierd noises and why they wouldn't wanna wear clothes in such cold weather. so i switched to BBC World News instead.

eh im at the airport now so it's customary that i use the internet here to blog + use msn.

heh heh it's been like half a month since i was here and i really miss the last time when me, yi rui, chong zhi, seliyan and all the other peeps were here at 3+ am watching Man Utd lose to Villareal in the champs league. before our flight to the US which is another thing i miss cause it was really damn fun. damn.

seems like changi airport has caught the world cup fever. there are soccer ball shaped seats and loads of flat screen TVs showing world cup stuff. the best thing is there are 2 xbox360 consoles with Fifa2007. wtf. but the angmohs are hogging it. damn i wanna go there thrash them. hurrhurr.

sia lah changi airport really damn fun. i think one can literally live here. everything is here lor.
